There are many reasons and many theories of why Jesus was crucified. But which one explanation do you favor the most?

My reading of the gospels leads me to believe that Jesus theology of challenging religious authority (O ye hypocrites, sabbath was made for man, refutation fo purity laws, going against Moses's teaching on divorce, thinking for one's self, etc...) was too radical and too threatening to the Jewish power structure lead by the orthodox (yet hypocritical) Pharisees. They then sold him out to the Romans and pushed fabricating Jesus "the new King" as a threat to Roman sovereignty.

Of course no one can be proven right, but I'm just curious.

My favorite one is the Folger's coffee commercial where the older kid comes home and starts the coffee and people start waking up and come down the stairs and give him a hug and say Merry Christmas -- I have seen that commercial 100's of times and get teary eyed every time I see it.

Now you tell me about your favorite. Thanks and Merry Christmas

I have never been to either, I am wondering what is better in terms of how the island looks, things to do and see in the island, the overall personalities and disposition of the people (without being stereotypical or racist...but if u went to one and met only rude people or vey nice people, that is your experience, I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT IT!)

Are they luxurious or 3rd world like....

any info you have comparing the two would be great.
thanks!

Is it the fact that original sin causes the unborn fetus to burn in Hell for eternity?

Or do unborn fetuses go to Heaven? In this case, wouldn't you be doing them a favor by aborting? If most people aren't going to Heaven, isn't it better for those that would be in torment for eternity to never have the chance to burn for eternity? Sure, they'll never get a chance to grow and become "saved," but isn't it better to avoid being eternally "condemned" in the first place?

I cringe at the ones that get tattoos of skulls, dragons, devils and demons. WTF is up with that? What's even worse are the people that get tattoos that will guarantee they'll never get a good job in their life. Then there are the tattoos in odd places that will have people questioning them for years. I really think it is an indicator of stupidity when you see anyone with a tattoo.

...someone whose only experience is the third-hand accounts and hearsay of a bunch of Bronze Age goatherders, or the testimony of present-day atheists who suffered a near-death experience and came back to tell us exactly what they experienced (or didn't)?

In the absence of empirical evidence, who gets to be right?

The perfect man is gentle
Never cruel or mean
He has a beautiful smile
And keeps his face so clean.
The perfect man likes children
And will raise them by your side
He will be a good father
As well as a good husband to his bride
The perfect man loves cooking
Cleaning and vacuuming too
He'll do anything in his power
To convey his feelings of love on to you.
The perfect man is sweet
Writing poetry from your name
He's a best friend to your mother
And kisses away your pain.
He never has made you cry
Or hurt you in any way
To hell with this endless poem
The perfect man is gay.

I just want to say I have had Mormon friends and Mormon schoolmates, but I have this question:

Is the Mormon religion somewhat prejudiced?

I have been told by other Mormons they WOULD NOT date outside their own race unless its Asian. I have also been told someone that was not White will never be accepted. And lastly I was told that Blacks are cursed.

I know it will sound like rubbish to many and it sounds like rubbish to me, but is there any truth at all in this?

Please dont blast me with being racist because for the millionth time I am not-but this is a question I have never got an answer to.
