I cringe at the ones that get tattoos of skulls, dragons, devils and demons. WTF is up with that? What's even worse are the people that get tattoos that will guarantee they'll never get a good job in their life. Then there are the tattoos in odd places that will have people questioning them for years. I really think it is an indicator of stupidity when you see anyone with a tattoo.

Tattoos are a personal choice of self expression and the reasons why people get them differ. If an employer doesn't hire because the applicant has a tattoo then they are discriminating against them. However, there are only a few places where a tattoo can't be covered up during an interview.

There are lots of good reasons to get a tattoo. To remind you’re self of a important time or an event in your life, to make a social or political statement, to honor a deceased relative or friend, to show allegiance to a social group or culture, to make sure you never forget a personal philosophy, or just because you think your body looks better with a little bit of decoration.

Also, there are plenty of people who have tattoos that hold good jobs. As long as you don’t tattoo your face, neck or hands most tattoos can be covered. But honestly, I pity anyone who values work more than self expression. Seems like a pretty sad way to live.

I don't have a tattoo, but I've seriously been looking into getting one really, realllly soon. Ironically enough, I'm looking to get a quote in memory of my grandparents on the left side of my ribcage. I think your tattoo looks freaking awesome. It's a good placement and I think the size and font are perfect. I like the feather, too... I don't know what type of palm tree leaves you're looking at. :3 I think you're definately over-analyzing.. Because had it been smaller, you probably would have wanted it bigger. Or maybe that's just how I would be.

A lot of people regret tattoos later in life, unless they stick with a serious tattoo crowd. My niece's boyfriend has a lot of tats from his early days and has realized how off-putting they are to many people. He has been having a large one of a skull removed from his throat and the process is very painful. Every time he comes home from a session, he goes on and on about how stupid he was to ever mar his body that way.

Some people just get them to fit in, but I think the majority do it to commemorate special things in their life. Tattoos are art and art is a way of self expression. I have several tattoos, and they all mean something different and special to me. I think an indicator of stupidity is judging someone because they have a tattoo. Just because you think it is stupid, doesn't mean it isn't special to that person. When getting a tattoo, you shouldn't care what others think about it.

plenty of my friends with tattoos have very nice jobs and while the tattoo may appear stupid to you almost everytime there is a story or an emotional attachment behind their decision to decorate their body in that fashion. I'm sure some of things that you say or do may appear stupid to others. It's the way of the world.

It's none of your business what people choose to do with their bodies or lives. If you don't like them, don't look.

I work at a corporate law firm, the #1 in the State, and make a great living and I have a half-sleeve and two other tats. I have a degree, as well. My sleeve was done to cover a scar so stop judging what you know nothing about.

Mind your own business.

People don't realize that anytime you get a tattoo, you're drawing evil spirits to you. Thats a mark of the beast.

I don't think it's an indicator of stupidity, but I don't like a lot of tatoos. I think they get them to be cooler, and to show they're tough. I hate tatoos!
