If this has never happened to you than I think you should mind your own business.

How did you FEEL?

If you have never been there than you have no idea what it feels like.

Yes, I know what this feels like.

The decision is only the business of the woman involved.

This has never happened to me, which is why I staunchly support the right of a woman who was raped to do whatever she wants. If she wants to carry the baby to term, that is her business. If she wants to terminate the pregnancy, that is also her business. I have never experienced what she will go through and I hope that I never do, and I have NO RIGHT to tell her what she should do, how she should feel, or that terminating a pregnancy she had no choice in amounts to murder.

While it's true that pregnancies and incest may make up a tiny portion of abortions, abortion needs to remain legal because the moment we say, "Well, if you were raped or the victim of incest, we'll allow it," that means we're going to be forcing women who were raped or the victim of incest to prove it, and it's hard to prove rape in a court of law in this country because we're a society that blames the woman. "She must have done something to deserve it." "She shouldn't have been wearing that blouse." "She shouldn't have been out so late."

Anyone who has never been raped has no business opening their mouth to tell women they're wrong to terminate the pregnancy. And this means men especially. Men can go ahead and have all the opinions they want on abortion, but not when it comes to a pregnancy that results from a rape or incest. Since it can never actually happen to them they have no right to an opinion.

I know a very courageous woman whom became pregnant as a result of rape and was so selfless as to go through the short 9 mon. of pregnancy to give birth to a beautiful baby boy who is now a wonderful husband and loving father of 2 precious children.

No I've never experienced it and I'm so sorry if you've ever had.

At the risk of "not minding my own business" I'd like to add that I have heard of those instances where the woman has kept the child and subsequently loved the child and never regretted her decision.

It may be rare and no doubt they've suffered severe trauma but to think they all have abortions would be an innacurate assumption.

each woman who's thinking the belief of abortion faces a similar thoughts. authentic, it isn't the child's fault, yet you will desire to no longer be punished the two. Having a infant see you later penalizes you for something of your lifestyles. in case you have been older, i could sense in a various way. no person will blame you. i think of you will desire to have the abortion so each rime you look at your infant you do no longer undergo in concepts what the reason for it replaced into. end intense college and flow to college. come across a physically powerful boyfriend and have a infant later.good success!

Been there at age of 14. I was scared and horrified but even then I knew I could not do this to an Innocent child. I can however understand how one could consider it for a moment but not do it. That pregnancy never came to conclusion as my medical situation caused a miscarriage but I know that one day I will meet that loved child in heaven too.

I'm sorry that happened to you, but there is more than one choice.
Some people choose to take a very horrible situation and find a way to turn it into a beautiful one.
Have you ever spoken with a child who was conceived of rape, but whose mother decided to have the child and give it to a loving family?
I have.
Until you speak with her and hear how grateful she is to her birth mother, I suggest you not be so narrow-minded.

There are not that many who have gone thru with the pregnancy after being raped. Did you? I think any woman who has the strength of character to carry a child conceived in violence is a role model for all women.

You are correct to feel very sad and hurt if this has ever happened to you. If it has then, I am very sorry. It would be very hard.

I would NEVER give birth to a rapist's baby. I wouldn't burden a child with that kind of history.
