I have never been to either, I am wondering what is better in terms of how the island looks, things to do and see in the island, the overall personalities and disposition of the people (without being stereotypical or racist...but if u went to one and met only rude people or vey nice people, that is your experience, I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT IT!)

Are they luxurious or 3rd world like....

any info you have comparing the two would be great.
thanks!

Haiti is a very depressed country and extremely dangerous to visit.

Jamaica has some very nice all inclusive resorts. They are OK as long as u don't go out of the resort without a local tour guide.

My opinion...for the money there are nicer and safer Islands to visit then Jamaica or Haiti

Jamaica if you haven't been.

You will land in Montego Bay, but I'd prefer to stay in Ocho Rios. Nice falls there that you can climb, flows to the ocean.
There is a trip up to the mountains and a raft ride down the river. You might like that.

Plenty of night life.

Haiti is among the 20 poorest countries in the world. If you want to see a beautiful country that is unfortunate go there. It's shocking, but a learning experience

Well you seem to have some money spare, I suggest you put that cash in a high interest account and go on holiday next year.
