This verse(s) is one of my favs
Revelation 21:1-4
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

While it can be argued that God is not the source of evil, but shouldn't he at least not allow bad things to happen to good people?

As Jehovah's Witnesses have admitted, the governing body has made many mistakes and changed numerous times their doctrines, therefore, when this "new light" is presented, are they free to choose if they want to follow it or not?

If we watch the evening news it is very easy to lose faith in our
world... in humankind.

How reassuring to hear how one simple act of kindness CAN make a
difference in someone's life!

Very touching. Get your tissues ready!

This is one of the kindest things I've ever experienced. I have no
way to know who sent it, but there is a kind soul working in the postal
system.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died,
My 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she
missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when
Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we
could so she dictated these words:
Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with
you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as
my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her.She likes to play with balls and to
swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her. You will know that
she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and
Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it.
Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because
she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to
heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post
office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I
told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front
porch addressed, "To Meredith," in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it.
Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called,"When a Pet Dies." Taped to the
Inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened

Note:

Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.

Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it
stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our
bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am
sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have
something to remember Abbey by.

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping
you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I
picked her especially for you.

I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very
much.

By the way, I am wherever there is love.

Love,
God

This question is mainly for Jehovah Witnesses. I have asked my bible instuctor and she told me that it has not been totally lost and Jehovah is the closets pronounciation. I was not satisfied with the answer she gave me. I have two young children of my own and I want them to know my name. Wouldn't I make sure that they no how to properly pronounce my name if it was so important to me?

Since I have no family left, these holidays always depress me. I've handled that depression by serving meals at a Veterans Dinner, I've visited patients, including vets, in hospitals, etc. But, for some reason, these holidays are depressing me badly. I'd like to hear what others are doing, Maybe it will cheer me up.I wish I knew how to Email one of our military in Iraq & Afghanistan.

LDS theology teaches that Jehovah is the preincarnate Jesus Christ, while Elohim is the formal name for the Heavenly Father. LDS theology also teaches that they are not the same God, which is blasphemous, but two distinct Gods who both comprise two Holy Personages of the Godhead.

In the King James Version of the Bible, the word Jehovah is the Elizabethan approximation of the actual Hebrew word YHWH, which is also translated as LORD. The word "God" is almost always a translation of the word "Elohim" from Hebrew. How does the average Latter-day Saint reconcile the verse Deuteronomy 6:4, "Hear, O Israel! The LORD (Jehovah) is our God (Elohim), the LORD is one!" with his or her LDS understanding of the meaning of those words? Is Jehovah actually God, or is the Bible incorrect and not to be trusted? Note, also, that the phrase "the LORD (Jehovah) our God (Elohim)" occurs numerous times throughout the Bible.

I have two questions:
1) Why did the Muslims want the Holy Land?
2) Why did the Christians want the Holy Land?
The Crusades started over that, but why did each religion want it?

Please, no answers that are not appropriate, no "Blah, they're both dumb" and stuff like that, it's a serious question and I want a serious answer, NO OPINIONS.

Thank you (:

Mr. Bill wrote 4 questions today and thus far has had 3 deleted.

Why do they violate Mr. Bill?

(One of the deleted questions follow. I really shouldn't re-post as it's already been deleted once but it's only fair that you see iti n order to come to a conclusion as to whether or not Mr. Bill has been violated):

--1. Why do sinners get Christmas presents?

Question Details: Last year my gay uncle Harold got a Disco Tunes CD and pink tights and his gay-by-birth son received 4 bibs. My whoring mother got a bathrobe and my lying, cheating sister got an above-the-knee skirt. Sluggo got LOADS of presents. Why, God? Why?--

What in this cries out "deletion" to you? What in it cries out to be violated? Whatever happened to the First Amendment? My Dog, what is this world coming to?

O no! Mr. Bill!
