`Atiq ibn Abi Quhafa, Shaykh al-Islam, `Abd Allah ibn `Uthman ibn `Amir al-Qurashi al-Taymi (d. 13), the Prophet’s intimate friend after Allah, exclusive companion at the Prophet’s Basin (hawd) and in the Cave, greatest supporter, closest confidant, first spiritual inheritor, first of the men who believed in him and the only one who did so unhesitatingly, first of his four Rightly-Guided successors, first of the ten promised Paradise, and first of the Prophet’s Community to enter Paradise.

Alone among the Companions, Abu Bakr repeatedly led the Community in prayer in the lifetime of the Prophet. The latter used to call him by his patronyms of Abu Bakr and Ibn Abi Quhafa, and he named him with the attributes "The Most Truthful" (al-Siddîq) and "Allah’s Freedman From the Fire" (`Atîq Allâh min al-nâr).

And does God welcome the souls of those soldiers into his kingdom of Heaven? I am asking because God said "you shall not kill".

If so, what was the experience like? Did you retaliate in any way? Are you any different today due to the experience?

think it was recorded by Phil Harris. was about a mounteneer who felt so mighty brave he took his trusty gun and went into a dark dark cave. the reason for his venture was a story that he'd heard about a bad ferocius creature called the jabberwocky bird.
there were several different verses and in the end the ugly jabberwocky became the prettiest of girls. would like to find trhe lyrics and it was recorded on a 78 rpm record.

I put the word "American" in quotation marks becuase you can't be American and Muslim at the same time. It's an oxymoron.

There are various sites regarding prophesies on the last days . The sites give very precise locations and happenings before the last day. Are they true ? . However in Quran there are prophesies but it does not mention the places. If there are any clear indications in Quran or in Hadith about Last Days, can you kindly tell.

The Signs of the Hour are the signs that will precede Yawm al-Qiyaamah (the Day of Judgement) and indicate that it is nigh.
The Hour (al-Saa'ah) means the time of reckoning, and is either:
1. Saa'ah sughra (the lesser hour), which is a person's death, whereupon his reckoning starts when he leaves this world and passes into the Hereafter;
2. Or Saa'ah kubraa (the greater Hour), which is when mankind will be resurrected from their graves to be judged and rewarded or punished accordingly.

I was just wondering how many of you agree with those who want the crosses removed. Just curiousity on my part.

Thanks.

I have a bad temper, if I was mad or upset, I have moved away from the situation, when I was standing I would sit down, when I were sitting I would lie down, and I have recited the "darood" and "laholawallah kuwatta", but to no avail.

Praise be to Allaah.

Anger is one of the evil whispers of Shaytaan, which leads to so many evils and tragedies, of which only Allaah knows their full extent. For this reason Islam has a great deal to say about this bad characteristic, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described cures for this "disease" and ways to limit its effects, among which are the following:

It's not long until our 40th wedding anniversary and I've been thinking about how to celebrate. We really are not party people but have children, grandchildren and friends who might be interested in a get-together of some sort. I've also thought about a special vacation with just me and my husband. Our anniversary is in April. What are your thoughts on this subject?

I personally believe that denominationalism is a tool of the enemy to keep the body of christ divided. The tools are mostly useless traditions and mostly ineffective methods. Some organizations believe in Jesus only .Others believe
in the trinity or godhead. Another believes that jesus came back to evangelize to the native americans. In one in particular if the pastor makes a decision they do not like they can vote them out. The bible says to follow your leaders as they follow christ. God gives gifts and positions without repentance and if god wanted someone else in that position he would have put someone else there.
so who are we to vote them out if god put them there . I believe that we need to
come together on what matters most the death and resurrection of jesus in order to be effective because the rest of it is a matter of opinion anyway.
