I put the word "American" in quotation marks becuase you can't be American and Muslim at the same time. It's an oxymoron.

i think you mis understand. We just tring to be muslims and follow the sharia (and by the way adding "law" at the end of "sharia" is an oxymoron, so dont talk) in the best way we can. If we do indeed increase our iman and our taqwa and be the the most moralistic, most well behaved people on the surface of the earth we will be true Muslims. We will be the modle people for the world to follow, and eventually and inevitably, Islam will be in every corner of the world bringing peace and prosperity. It may seem like Islam is going to "dominate" the whole world, and although that is not the purpose of islam, the increasing conversion rate in addition to being the most loved, and respected people on the surface of the earth, will factor into the fact that islam's sharia will take over other governments. Saying we want to being sharia into the us is like saying the US wants to bring in Democracy to Iraq. except the US is invading, and Sharia is spreading naturally.

What is this oxymoron thing all about?
America happens to be the home of very many true Muslims. Now about Sharia law; there are a few models. Some of those models may clash with local US laws however there are others which can be (and has been) practiced by US Muslims without offending their US status.

Good question. We have a contract with this country and that means integration not separation or to take what they already fashioned and change it.

I don't see a need for this law upon others that don't believe. What you need to do is study the Bindinburgs and those who want to make one order of law. One nation, one religion and one without separation and you will see what is the intentions.

Muslims that are peaceful know Allah SWT is in their heart and they need not lashings and all those long ago punishments that Saudi keeps practicing. Obvious how people are in power and abuse it. On both sides of the coin. We have freedom here in USA so leave it free. I don't see a need for any law other than what was created by the founding fathers of this great nation. Surely it was founded long before anyone thought of bringing their own religion here.

The people are great, and they need to support the Constitution of Independence and the laws set forth with freedom in mind. I see no reason for any change other than community reform.

Obviously, Shahirah isn't familiar with the bible because the ban on homosexuality is in the Old testament(Torah) too, so to the jews you are also copycats. As for circumcision, it was first performed by the ancient Egyptians before the so called jewish nation was even invented. As for the question, how about this Christian country that doesn't allow same sex marriage? USA..

You're an oxymoron -- I cannot imagine a Christian Crusader can actually type full sentances. lol Oh wait, you can't! LOL

There have been plenty of Muslim AMERICANS before 9/11 you moron! There have even been members of the State Dept. who were Muslim before 1950 - before 1900 too I believe (can't remeber the date). Go read a book!

And like I said before, If you are a Christian Crusader why don't you actually get off the net and grab a gun or a sword and get to it??????? I'M WAITING.

I had a customer ask me at work what my nationality was, when I told him I was American he tried to convince me that I wasn't because I was wearing the headscarf...I just smiled and told him to have a wonderful day. America as far as I know has many different religions in it. I am Muslim. I am American.

What a poor ignorant puppy. Get a job.
By the way, I was born and raised here, as a Muslim, in the United States. Go ahead, stereotype me. Did I mention that I'm white?

haha. Never even heard ONE muslim mention that. Here's an even better question............

Why do Christians feel so threatened by Muslims when Jews don't believe Jesus is God either?

Oh and do you realize that American citizens are converting to Islam? Therefore that does make them American and Muslims. Arabs only make up 20% of Muslims, but maybe your crusader helmet is so heavy it's making your brain malfunction so get your facts straight!
