is there a time for praying??

2007-10-31 01:56:33 · 12 answers · asked by Ehdina T 1 in Religion & Spirituality

Read this long ago and cannot remember the writer;

I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
I fled Him, down the labrinthine ways of my own mind; and in the mist of tears
I hid from Him,and under running laughter,up vistaed hopes I sped, and shot precipitated,
Adown Titanic glooms of chasmed fears,from those strong Feet that followed,followed after,
But with unhurrying chase, and unpreturbed pace, deliberate speed,Majestic instancy,
They beat,,, and a voice beat more instant than the feet;
``All things betray thee, who betrayest Me``

I just saw this on the news and thought I'd put in my two cents. I'm an Agnostic and I'm so much really angry about the moment of silence as much as I am angry that the Illinois government would waste their time on such a silly law. Students have plenty of time during a school day to have their own personal moment of silence. They also have plenty of time before, during, and after school to gather in groups to pray. This law is totally unnecessary and it seems like Christian representatives are trying to see how far they can poke their way into the public school until they get in hot water. Why can't Christians accept separation of church and state and stop trying to think of deviant ways to get in everyones heads.

i hear that the reasons some people want to have children are:
because they want to carry on their names, because their children will love them no matter what, beacause their children will look after them when they get old, because they want their children to accomplish what they havent in life, because they are bored beeing just two in the marriage

i find all these reasons very selfish ( i could say pathetic)

for me the only reason one should have children is because he wants to give the gift life to somebody

butr then come the question
is life a gift(wars, diseases, poverty, pollution, unemployment...) worth giving?

I want to bring you
I want to feel alive in you
I want to bathe in the danger of ourselves
I want to feel you

I want to take you
Carve a new design in you
I want to look in your other face

But it's so damn hard to find

I want to bring it
I want to bring it
I gotta feel all sacrificed
I gotta feel all sacrificed
I'll never let you know

I want to peel it back
I want to look inside
I want to see the inscriptions glow
Where your teardrops crawl

Under the downward side
I was the death you beg to hold
Now you have the thing that you wanted most
You can never own

Some churchs spend so much time asking for a donation, they have little time left for the real meaning of being there. But, some of them do a lot of preaching, but they start shouting and you can't understand at the end. So, is it really necessary to go to church? And Jehovah's Witnesse's are boring and some of them look like zombies, because they have too many meetings.

Tawaen, this is for you girl. See the truth Tawaen!

I think the the 'mh' got changed from the 't' to fool people. Then he threw in that 'i' to really throw people.

That Satan is crafty little devil isn't he?

S a 'mh' a 'i' n = S a t a n!!!

Don't be fooled! Samhain really doesn't mean November... unless... Satan means November as in the moive Sweet November because we all know that Keanu Reeves is of the devil with all his Matrix blasphemies.

That Satan is crafty!

What do you think?
