Why do white people always asks why they can’t use the N-word, with the -igga. To me, as an African-American, it is a stupid question to ask. When we all know it has a lot to do with slavery, and that’s what white people use to call black people, with the -igger? Do people tend to forget about slavery when this issue comes up?

I can imagine riots, flag burning and huge international support. I remember the outburst over a cartoon - why does the world seem to accept the murders and bloodbath and suppression? I suppose it is because they are Buddhist and all Buddhists are peaceful, therefore their supporters cannot conceive the violence shown in support of other faiths but it is sad that we can witness so much and do so little.

And if you do, where do you draw the line? Do you think all animals have souls but not insects- you get the picture.

I am not religious but am spiritual-I tend to think that we all have something of a soul, maybe a presence on the other side that somehow equals our life form here. Maybe the spiritual version of a thinner soul for lesser life forms.

HHmm-maybe I just need some sleep: ) but still I can't imagine an afterlife without my family and my doggies.

Alright, it's time to set the record straight, once and for all.

For or against same-sex marriage?

Is it wrong?

Should it be legal?

What's wrong with it?

I'll put in my two cents first. First of all, I don't have any religious affiliation, so I'm able to approach this open-mindedly. Though it is akward at times, gay marriage should be legal, no doubt about it. It's going to happen soon, so why not stop putting up all the red tape? If two people love eachother, why shouldn't they be together? And despite what people may think, they don't think that what they're doing is wrong, it's just the rest of the world. I think it's sad to see people going against it because it's "not God's will" or whatever. God made gay men (and women), and for what, just to watch them be prosecuted by people who don't have the same view? Tsch, just sad, I'd like to see one good reason on here why two people shouldn't be together that doesn't have to do with God. There you go.

Reports indicate that John Travolta will not obtain treatment for his son's autism because his religion, Scientology doesn't recognise it as a valid condition.
I am bewildered as to why people are of the opinion that he can do as he pleases because it's his son, and no-one else should be able to decide the rightness or injustice of his decisions concerning his son.
Why can't we condemn the actions (or inaction) of someone that prevents a fellow human being from living the best possible life he can?
I dont get it.
I understand that treatment of autism is not always effective, but it is almost always effective to some degree and the earlier the better.
What do you think?

As an Atheist i tend to get in quite a few debates with others. I do have one question for fellow atheists out there, why is the Bible not proof of miracles of Jesus and stores of "god" when history books written hundreds of years ago have the same validity?

I would prefer Atheists to only answer but if you believe in invisible wizards feel free to answer as well.

would you ask God to forgive the atheists on R&S when Judgement Day comes?

Which atheists on R&S would you forgive, if you could?

Ok, this is hugely hypothetical, so please bear with me. If there was a time where many people did just go missing and unexplained and you see family members/friends/co-workers that you know were Christian just gone as well as all children, what would your initial reaction be? Do you think you would be able to explain it away? Would you question the possible existence of a god at that point?

This was one of the things we where commanded to do. I see atheists as people like myself who have a soul. I do not want to condemn them or dictate whether or not they make heaven. Thats not my job title. My job title is to show them love and compassion. My job title is not to force my beliefs onto them. But if they need me, I am here! If they need God he is there waiting. If they do not wish to believe in Christ, at least someone was here to tell them about God. At least there was someone out there who was willing and ready to help them if they wanted it. We all have the right to believe what we wish to believe. I do not wish to shut the door on anyone. I believe anyone can change! And Some may think they have went to far. The amazing thing is: God is very merciful! He forgives people that mabe I couldn't forgive on my own. If an atheist wants to mock me for my beliefs: I will love them and pray for them anyway! I was once a hater of christianity. I know what its like!

There is this person who I sit next to that disturbs me. In the test she copy my answers. When someone say bad things to her she get me involve in it. When people in my class do something for exmple, making rubish, talk when teacher is teaching she will ask them to stop. And then she does the something everytime. She is like a drama queen and when we have to do agroup work she never helps at all

Back when I was a teenager, the night before Halloween was called Gate Night and still is in my area. That was the night that houses would get egged and toilet papered (other pranks too) for no reason other then it was "Gate Night". Just reminising on my old days and wondering if you did anything for "Gate Night" and if you called it something different

Why are people almost always the same religion as their parents are? Why is it that if you had been born to a Jewish family, you'd be Jewish; if you were born to a Muslin family, you'd be Muslim, etc. but You'd still be the same person - same soul - but different religion. Could it be that religion is just brain washing? Would you be a different religion if you'd been taught a different one as a child?

What is racism? I think it’s simply an economically driven phenomenon. If the other races present are in number, enough to influence the economy of that country, intolerance (read it racism) is bound to be there.

As far as I can see it here is the pro:
US Christians are under a system of government where political speech is a freedom and is encouraged. Participation in the political process is a civic duty. Christians have just as much of a voice in government as non-Christians and should not forsake their legitimate right to influence the government of our country.

And here is the con:
Politics are a distraction from the gospel, they put up a wall between us and others who disagree. Political activism has put a bad taste in people's mouths regarding Christianity (i.e. we are trying to shove our morality down other people's throats) - we're supposed to act in such a way that no one has a legitimate argument against us, but people perceive us as "forcing" our agenda on others - this is a hinderance to the spreading of the love of Christ in the gospel.

What do you think? Please discuss.

My partner does not belong to any religion. He does not go to church, he says he believes basicaslly the same things I do though. To those saying I should let my daughter decide, should I let her decide when to change her nappy or have a bath or what to eat for dinner??? We are not going to push our beliefs on her, but don't all parents push their beliefs, likes/dislikes and various other things on their children.
