Why do white people always asks why they can’t use the N-word, with the -igga. To me, as an African-American, it is a stupid question to ask. When we all know it has a lot to do with slavery, and that’s what white people use to call black people, with the -igger? Do people tend to forget about slavery when this issue comes up?

Nagas or Negus(early terminology) pre columbus in correct form. Our supposed N word was a mispronounciated twist of fate. We would actually embrace it's true meaning. The Nagas or Negus term for nobility or enlightened kings.

I guess so. Lots of people never heard of the chattel slavery of Africans in the New World between 1497 to the late 1800s--believe it or not. They were out sick the day it was discussed in history class, and missed that question on the test. This issue is not central to their lives. But if anyone is using 'hip' language, everyone wants in on it.

Speaking of hip, there's no difference between the two forms of the word in the way you indicate. The word with '-igga' is not new. It was just as common as the word with '-igger' in the South. Spelled that way, too.

In my opinion, NOBODY has the right to use either word. The less they get used, the more quickly they will become dead in the language. As long as anybody uses them, everybody will. And you can get your feelings hurt if you want to, nobody's going to let you (or anyone) establish separate sets of rules about who is (or isn't) allowed to use a particular word. That's ludicrous in a free society.

You've got a lot of work cut out for you. Please retire other derogatory endearments such as bit ch, hoe, dog, pimp, and thug while you're at it. Nothing new about any of them, either.

People who are using that word are racist or really really ignorant. I don't think anyone who actually knows the history behind that word can justify using it. The meaning of that word hasn't changed and its estimated that there are over 27 million slaves in the world today (even if its not in the US, it still matters).

Over the years words change meanings, but some people are stuck in the dark ages. Gay used to mean happy, then homosexual, now it's a word used to describe something as out of fashion. So what does the N word mean to you now, not the last generation?

I will use the word when I want to. No-one will tell me I can't say the word.

I use it on occasions in my own home & when out with friends. I use it when the occasion requires it to be used.

So, I don't ask permission & if anyone does not like me saying it...........then stiff sh!t.

That's like black people tossing Honkey and cracker around like it's no big deal. Right? Or is it only okay for black people to call each other that and disrespect one another?

Nobody that I know of has ever asked "permission." That's ridiculous.

There's no excuse for violence.
