Judaism, Catholicism/Christianity and Islam all claim to believe in the same god. But their beliefs counter each other's claims. If one of them is right, the other 2 have to be wrong. They can reach out in friendship to each other, but they can never overcome the fact that their religions are in direct opposition.

My response would be to ask you in what sense Catholicism is anti-semitic at it's theological core. Contemporary theology is not anti-semitic. It is true that the Catholic Church has historically had some very rough relations with the Jews. However, since Vatican II, a greater understanding and respect has been sought. While debate rages today about what the Church did or did not do during the Holocaust, we do know that many Catholics from Pope Pius XII, to Saints like Maximillian Kolbe, Edith Stein, and Titus Brandsma did assist Jews. The late Pope John Paul II visited a Roman Synagogue and tried to repair the damage done by the Church to the Jews. As Catholics, we are taught to respect Jews as God's chosen people and to see ourselves as Christians as part of the great drama of salvation history which was began when God chose them among all the nations. The Church does not condone anti-semitism and such attitudes would be considered sinful.

Yep, I do.
It's because Christianity, and of course Catholicism, have always taught - falsely - that the Jews killed Jesus.
But logically, of course they didn't. Only the Romans used crucifixion.
In addition, to those people who irrationally insist that the Jews somehow 'persuaded' the Romans to murder Jesus - utter rubbish!
The Romans hated the Jews, they oppressed the religion and there is no way on earth that the Romans would have given in to requests from the Jews over who to kill.
Accounts of the death of Jesus were written after the fact, remember.
I know this is at the core of Christian anti semitism because I have seen, not only on this site, but out there in the world, both Christians and Catholics, accuse Jews of 'killing G-d's son'. They say it either when they are in a temper or when they are drunk. The anger is there towards Jews for this.

The Catholic church offers the grace and salvation of Christ to all ... Jews and everyone ... simply because God desires all to be saved.
Since it was founded and established by Jews, the Catholic church is actually very Semetic, at it's core ... but Catholic church teachings and it's government are totally new covenant, so they completey replace the temporary arrangements that God originally made for his covenant people.
Anti sin. Anti death. Anti slavery. Anti Satan. Not anti semitic.

Um...I don't know why it's anti-Semitic at the core, at least, no more or less than any other Christian sect. However, the Vatican didn't stop pushing the blood libel until like 1919. For those who don't know, the "blood libel" was the myth that Jewish people used the blood of Christians in their "rituals."

I don't KNOW, but I can take a stab at it:
Christians say that Judaism is incomplete and that their Jesus has the answers.
Nothing builds hate faster than condescension. Tell folks they're wrong, and you make enemies.
Jews say Christians overshot the mark and that Jesus is all wet.
NOTHING builds hate faster than condescension. Tell folks they're wrong, and you make enemies.
It doesn't help that they're both barking up a nonexistent tree.

Is this just a random question?
Or are you going to enlighten us?
Or are you using this place as a platform to air your almighty opinion thinly disguised as facts like so many others before you?
