I mean, I think He is swell and all, but on the whole, well, we have global warming, widespread hunger, famines, hurricanes, non-stop wars worldwide, genocides in various countries, ethnic and religious cleansing, and most important of all, you don't get change back from a dollar at MacDonalds anymore.
I think it is time to impeach this guy, not because He is so bad, but, well, just kind of incompetent.

attempt to refute them in ignorance?

I see religious people who have no understanding of science, whereas, atheists who haven't even read the bible.

Please answer me. I'm curious. How can a group that pretends to be the moral compass for the country support war. If you are truly the exemplars of morality in our society, what business do you have promoting an activity (war) that results in so much death and destruction. Why can't you promote something more in tune with conventional morality, like nonviolence? Wasn't the parable about "turning the other cheek" promoting that sort of thing?

I mean, how hilarious would it be if he never gave the "Sermon on the Mount" because he was laid up with the trots?

"1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 'Blessed are the...awe, man, I really gotta blast one out...'"

hahahahahaha

...but seriously. What do you think? Christians, could Jesus ever have gotten diarrhea, or would that be some kind of sin or something?

(this is a serious question. If you report this, you're only proving your own immaturity :)

I have rejected all religions. But I believe in spirituality, that we have souls, and that we move on after this life into something otherworldly. As a kid, I had out-of-body experiences, and have seen ghosts. I am very spiritual. I meditate and believe in listening to yourself. But I absolutely, vehemently reject all major organized religions as a crock. I have nothing but disgust and contempt for them.

The reason why I reject religion, is the same reason why you chose yours and rejected all others.

With that being said, am I considered an unbeliever? How do I stand in the eyes of religious followers of all faiths?

I don't understand why people can't be both religious and scientific. I consider myself both, but most people on these forums seem to believe they are mutually exclusive. I think of science as explaining how God created everything. Afterall, if He were omniscient, wouldn't He set everything up to fall into place where He wanted it from the beginning, a la science. Couldn't the differences between the two be explained as either incomplete scientific study or inaccurate religious interpretation? Science looks at the universe from bottom to top, and religion from top to bottom. I haven't seen anything from one that would lead me to think they other is completely wrong. Besides, wouldn't a "correct" scientific view and a "correct" religious view eventually match up?

Refer to the Commandment Thou Shalt Not Murder(Kill), and Christians will refer you to many verses where God says to kill.
Refer to Loving, and Christians will refer you to verses that say Hate your enemies, etc. Refer to peace, and Christians will refer you to verses that say Make War, Refer to the new covenant and Christians will quote Jesus saying he didn't come to change anything from the old teachings (OT).
No wonder we have so many Christian denominations, since the Bible is chockful of contradictions proving it is nothing but a bunch of personal opinions of various writers having nothing whatever to do with the word of God. God would not be idiotic enough to contradict themself a thousand times over!

What did you ever receive in your Halloween bag besides candy? One year, a neighbor was getting rid of old toys & dropped a blue deflated football in my bag.

I understand that if you don't work period, you won't eat and you will die. I don't think that's what it means. Starvation is a fantastic motivational tool and needs no support.

I think laziness is more a question of economic utility than morality. Or is being economically useful considered moral from a Christian standpoint? Or are the Seven Deadly Sins outdated?

Gluttony has economic motivations too and is certainly outdated or else a ton of Americans are going to hell.

I guess my real questions are: Is being economically useful considered moral from a Christian standpoint? Are people who make more money then considered more moral?

You don't have to give all the details just a few sentences of why this year happens to be wonderful than the others or if you have had any blessings. I have plenty and for the first time in a long time am starting to be happy again.

I also recently read about the "Day of the Lord" and i need to expand and enrich my understanding of it, I got the general idea about it but need to understand in depth, I've read some verses about it in the Bible but i need to study it further, if you have any Biblical references please feel free to pass along.

I was once very lost in a big city and I noticed I would get to a street corner and the wind would pick up and start blowing a certain direction every once in awhile at different street corners the wind would change directions again? The animals would also start to travel different directions along with the wind. What was going on was God leading me, or is there some other explanation?
