The future has unlimited possibilities. Basically, the quote means,'Things might get better. Keep hope alive.'

This quote means
1)let gone be by gone
2)try to make the future better than the past today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better than today
3)forget the past and develop the future better than the past
4)the time can not be reversed,yesterday could not come back again let us to go against or go ahead
5)let us to realize the hope in the future better than the past.

It must have been a high school kid that wrote this saying. Why? Because they love to dream about what they are going to do after class and after school (future) and they hate studying their history (past).

Edit update: Oh come on, wheres my thumbs up? I guess the truth hurts.

my interpretation would be that it's more pleasant to look forward to the future that you could imagine because you could imagine it to be peaceful and idyllic, not like looking back and see the truth of the past cuz we already know what happened in the 'history of the past'
