Because our society made it one. Curse words can be any words that overtime a society says is a bad word.

Out of respect for people around you, esp children, we should be trying to refrain from using them because even if there is no good reason for the words to be called bad words, they now are and should be avoided just out of respect and politeness.

I think Hell is a noun but it can also be an adjective as well. People consider it a curse word but Its really not. Its not a slang word either. I'm not sure why I guess its the way people can use it. For example if you say Go to He_ _.
That's bad right? but, If you say Hell must be a really bad place then it doesn't sound that bad.

Hell is just the Name of a Place.

That's all it is.

But I wouldn't suggest telling People to go there, then it could become a Curse of the Ultimate Degree.

Good Question!

Basically because that's the only place no one wants to be, that's why people use that word to just take the piss out off others.

I don't beleive the word is so bad, it's more of the context that it is used. EX: hell is a place for bad people. (exceptable), You can go straight to H*LL! ( unexceptable).

*** pe chap. 9 pp. 82-84 pars. 5-9 What Kind of Place Is Hell? ***

Hell was used as a curse word because many people used it in it's right term even though the used it to be volgar. Because hell is anything you are buried in such as mankind common grave. It is not a fiery pit of torture. Example:
*** rs p. 170 Hell ***

Does the Bible also say that upright people go to hell?

Job 14:13, Dy: “[Job prayed:] Who will grant me this, that thou mayst protect me in hell,* and hide me till thy wrath pass, and appoint me a time when thou wilt remember me?” (God himself said that Job was “a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad.”—Job 1:8.) (*“The grave,” KJ; “the world of the dead,” TEV; “Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB, NW.)

Acts 2:25-27, KJ: “David speaketh concerning him [Jesus Christ], . . . Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,* neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (The fact that God did not “leave” Jesus in hell implies that Jesus was in hell, or Hades, at least for a time, does it not?) (*“Hell,” Dy; “death,” NE; “the place of death,” Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV; “Hades,” AS, RS, JB, NW.)
: (Jonah 1:17-2:2) 17 Now Jehovah appointed a great fish to swallow Jo´nah, so that Jo´nah came to be in the inward parts of the fish three days and three nights. 2 Then Jo´nah prayed to Jehovah his God from the inward parts of the fish 2 and said: “Out of my distress I called out to Jehovah, and he proceeded to answer me. Out of the belly of She´ol I cried for help. You heard my voice.
