lifeonloan - I would never label you "emotionally weak or crippled" because of your beliefs. I admire and appreciate honesty. You seem to have that.

Well Mooney,
I really did have to think about this in order to be objective. My conclusion revealed that yes, I could meet MY emotional needs on my own, as I actually have few, but I could not have met those of three teenage daughters without the grace and strength of Jesus Christ.

So, having said that, if you or other posters feel the need to call me emotionally weak or crippled, then I will just have to wear that label, along with a few others..:)

They could, especially with a little massage oil, but it's a sin. Maybe thats why religious leaders and writers make sex in every way except the most boring to be sinful. That way they have to look elsewhere for satisfaction.

Even if a relationship with God or Christ is the equivalent of a willing construction of a hallucination...

... that hallucination appears to truly help many people around the world.

So I guess whatever the answer, religion has its purpose in a lot of cases.

There is a cross. They've got the nails.
Since centuries they crucify him.
They placed a crown of thorns upon his head
to suffer to the end of time.
They've nailed him to a cross
to suffer to the end of time.
You've got the power to walk, but you just crawl.
You forgot the things he did, you hang him on the wall.
To God all things are possible,
to you it's given to be like himself.
You don't perceive it, my little sheep.
Creeping, crawling –The history repeats itself.

The sight of crucifixion still lies
heavy on your eyes. You cannot crucify him – God cannot die.
As long as you weae a crown of thorns you live a lie.
You cannot crucify yourself – God cannot die.

He points it out to you what it means to live,
he points it out to you what it means to die.
You've got the power to walk, but you just crawl.
You forgot the things he did, you hang him on the wall.
--Absurd Minds - Crucifixion
