I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I am interested in your beliefs. I am a lapsed Catholic and struggling with the idea of life after death. Part of me is just terrified that this life is all we get. When I close my eyes for the last time that's it, there's nothing else? Somehow I can't wrap my mind around the concept that someone who is alive and sentient could just be gone into nothingness in a split second. How do you resolve the thought of death and nothingness and not live life absolutely terrified of death? I'm starting to get scared to drive for fear of an accident etc....

A student who spends years with a teacher can NEVER be like someone who only met the teacher once.

True students would know the spirit of the message and not add personal ideas into the teachings.

Paul added much and Constantine added even more polytheistic ideas into what we now call Christianity.

Who do they think "society" is? It's all of us. If you don't want to do a certain thing, (like being thought of as the weaker sex or seen as a sexual object, etc.) simply don't buy into it. There are some intelligent women, thank goodness, who DO get it. I think it's a lame excuse for the women who don't.
