Hey, I don't understand ANYTHING about how a car engine runs, so does that make them not exist??? Why do people think that just because they don't understand or agree with God that He doesn't exist???

How can you PROVE there is no evidence?

We don't know everything....there are millions of things, ideas, occurences, etc. that exist that we don't know about.

Car engines don't exist.

But you know they work, every time you gut in a car, start the engine and put it into gear. And if you were curious, you could open up your car and see the engine running, turning pulleys and moving belts. And if the engine is removed, your car doesn't work, no exceptions. And you know it takes fuel to operate, just like any other thing that does work. You may not have any experience with pistons, cam shafts or valves, but you know that something in the engine occasionally breaks or wears and it has to go into the shop for repair.

You could make a clever analogy with these elements for God but there's no way to demonstarte that they're true. Open up a church and you'll see people ACTING as if God exists, but you won't see God. People will say God answers prayers, but sometimes the answer is no, so you can't tell if it's true or not. You can't really say God runs on prayer because by definition God is self-sufficient (and therefore unlike anything else that does work). No direct evidence exists for the "works" of God because there are always people and/or natural phenomena involved. And if you removed God from the scenario, how exactly would the world be any different?

You can get a book or take a class about engines and confirm the information by working on an engine. There are also books and classes about God, but no way to test or demonstrate them.

Car engines have evolved, for one. And you can get a basic understanding of them in community college. They're not mysterious, nor do engineers claim to have any absolute truths. My father was an engineer and physcist who was fond of saying "we just apply what we already know to try to make the next one better".

Your question is moot and your analogy is weak. I know nothing about quilting, should I not look into it for fear of losing faith?

So, my question to you is, is your god fuel efficient or one of those V-8 gas hogs on a Ford Dually? Carbureted or fuel injected?

Manual or standard transmission? Tool box in the bed so he can fix the majorly flawed designs of humans?

You still have a little thing we like to call "evidence" for the existence of car engines. Not only is there no evidence for the existence of god, the majority of the evidence points the other way.

You can see a car engine.

You can touch a car engine.

You can hear a car engine when it's running.

You can take your car to the mechanic and get the engine fixed.

You can know the engine is working by the fact that the car is moving as it should.

Some people don't want to believe in a Supreme God because of the way they love to live their own live, their own way, without any guidelines or resprictions without also realizing that this was the same conditin in which the people were in the days of Sodom when God brought Divine Judgment upon them because of their love for wickedness. So, instead of learning from the past, history will repeat itself but instead of judgment just coming to one city, it will come worldwide....
