what i meant about pure atheists is that some people who have a religion answer this question and i dont want that, im not a person to judge whether or not you're an 'pure' atheist if you know what i mean. just state your opinion i dont want people to state what they think other people think.
also, i didnt mean all atheists harrass other religions i meant what do you think of 'some' atheists that pester (maybe harass is not a really good word) other beliefs?

Atheists share a common belief that there is no God. Other than that, their beliefs vary widely. I think that all belief systems have a few people that harrass others on YA. However, I see it coming mostly from the fundamentalists Christians, not just directed towards atheists but other faiths as well (even other Christians).
If I found another way that I felt made more sense than my current path, I would follow it.

Sure, I believe in Evolution. The only thing that makes an atheist an atheist though is the lack of belief for deities, Evolution is not a requirement.
I do not harass other religions, I do not harass the Hindus, I do not harass the Buddhists, I do not harass the Taoists, only the Christians that can't keep their mouths shut and their beliefs to themselves that are bent on making this country a theocracy....
And I don't like religion. Too many rules and constrictions, I'd prefer to make my own list of values to follow....I will do what I think is right and decide what I think is wrong. No amount of scripture is gonna decide that for me....

Evolution- has evidence, Biblegod doesn't.
Harassing other religions? Well, other implies that atheism is one too; it isn't. And if you think that atheists are the harassers, shout out that you are an atheist on any street corner in America, and see what people say. The best you could probably hope for is that you're going to hell, but jesus loves you and whatnot.
And for the record, I'm only an atheist in regards to the Muslim, Jewish and Christian gods. I haven't read enough about the other gods to say one way or the other, but I am open to the possibility, if nothing else. It's just not at all likely.

I would not "have" a religion, period. Not even if it was state mandated or meant my death.
The only thing atheists have in common is a disbelief in deities. If you're Christian, that makes you atheistic to one less god than us. As to the harassment thing - positing a differing opinion does not equal harassing. I see far more harassment here by Christians against Muslims, Mormons, Catholics and Jews than I do by atheists against anyone else. Perhaps it would behoove you to find out what harassment really is.

Atheists, being human and neurobiologically impelled to do so, believe things. Some believe one thing, some believe another. They are not united by any singular belief, except for that in the non-existence of a deity.
I suspect that those "atheists" who harass other religions are in all likelihood rather young people who want to shock their elders and appear daring.
If I had a religion, I suppose it would probably be Buddhism.

The ONLY common thing among Atheists is that they do not believe in any god or gods.
Unlike religion, there is no code of belief common among them. There is no code of living among them. It is not a religion.
Atheists do NOT harass religions. They want all religions (and lack thereof) to be treated as equals. As, in a free society, that is what freedom is all about. Atheists do not come to your door with pamphlets on their nonreligion. Atheists do not stand of streetcorners screaming about how "the end is near". Atheists do not have tv channels devoted specifically to their non-religion. Last I looked, lets guess who does those things.
I already have a religion. I'm an Atheistic Wiccan.
Think before you type. We want freedom and equality for all. Its the Christians that do not.

Evolution seems the most rational reason for existence to me. I think we are a little way off from having it 100% right though. I do not harrass other Religions. I do however question them. I would choose no Religion.

Evolution is an accepted fact of science, with over 150 years of ongoing research in support of the facts. My Christians parents had no problems with evolution. They were a bit upset I have been an atheist since birth.
I don't believe in harrassing anybody. However, you knock on my door bearing pamphlets and claiming to have specious truths, you are fair game.
If I had to have a religion, it would be Unitarian/Universalist, since they are seekers.
Most of the other denominations want to impose their gods, rather than understand them or their own faith. Fear is a great motivator and weapon of control.
The only belief I have is my mother loves me. Then again, she could have been lying to me for 52 years (not likely).
Addendum: Evolution brought on religion out of altruism, which was required for our species to survive.

I am too tired to try to use my only one neuron to answer to all your questions (and I hope nobody will report me for this), but atheists harassing other religions is a statement I don't understand. First of all because atheism is not a religion and secondly because never in my life an atheist behaved as a Jehovah's witness.

Atheists do not believe in a god or gods. Just that plain and simple. As far as to what other things atheists believe/ acknowledge, that is for each individual to say. If I was "forced" to have a religion, I would still have no religion. You cannot force someone to believe something.
