Christians always say we suffer because Satan is working against God, but they also believe that God will defeat Satan....so, instead of God sitting back & letting the innocent be harmed by Satan in his various ways, why doesn't he just get rid of Satan now? Where is the justice in letting children starve to death, or be molested by perverts, or women be tortured by their husbands or wars that cause so much pain & suffering to so many people who did nothing to deserve it, when God is capable of ending the suffering NOW if he wanted to?

You have been transported to another dimension, and told there may or may not be a god, and the planet you arrive on has thousands of religions, each one which may or may not be the true path. What do you do, and why?

Cause you know just plain old regular folks don't, so I am wondering why people are compelled to state the obvious over and over again?

We know too well about the miserable "god of the gap" argument ('since science can't explain this thingie here, so god must have done it'), but isn't this "god of the void" affair becoming ridiculous?

Bonus karmic points: Why couldn't an omnipotent god fill these mindnumbingly gigantic voids with his creation?

i was just wondering
ok, i am totally religious, and i know that being gay/bi is way wrong and i am NOT attracted to other girls....but i have questions anyway.

oh and i am talking like is it wrong MORALLY or RELIGIOUSLY even if it's not for sexual reasons, just curiousity?

1) would it be wrong for me to be curious of what kissing another girl would be like?
2) would it be wrong if i kissed another girl, even if i wasn't attracted sexually toward her, just to see what it is like?

i am NOT bi, i CAN NOT be bi

thanks

Richard Dawkins wrote in "The God Delusion" that he admits that there could be a god, it's just that he considers it extremely unlikely.

I myself ask question that are controversial about races but that is because I want to know the answers. What is with all these losers who have no balls to say these things when they are face to face with other people?

I have these dreams that I am in Ancient Egypt. The first one was that I was in a temple with priests and was bowing down and praying to a big statue of Isis! I was a woman and was wearing a lot of jewellery! I remember feeling so moved by it... The second was I was outside of a huge building and I and the other people were struggling to pull a stone. Something had gone wrong and everybody was trying to help... I was sweating and there was even another woman there with me!

I remember when I was about 7, I saw the pyramids at Giza on TV and was so amazed by it and fell in love with everything Egyptian. I felt so comfterble with it!

I even today have started worshipping Isis because I feel really connected to this deity! I feel so good after praying and meditating to her. I used to be a Christian but I really didn't believe all of it because I've always believed in reincarnation my whole life! I even tried to find something in the Bible to prove that it was possible!

So, what do you think? Is it possible that I lived back then and came back in the 21st century as a man?

I've heard followers of one of these religions say that all three share the same god. I've always regarded this idea as false, but now I'm wondering about it. Are people confused because each of these religions address their god as simply "God"? Muslims actually refer to their god as both "God" and "Allah", so that doesn't even make sense. Could someone please set the record straight? Do Jews, Muslims, and Christians share the same god, or what? Many of us are confused. Thanks!

both god and santa claus are believed in at some age

they both do things that are impossible
1)god can make a virgin give birth without getting knocked up first
2)santa can make reindeer float in the air
3)god can listen to several people at the same time when they pray
4)santa can go to billions of houses in one night

they are both popular to some extent
and both have beards
and neither can be proven to exist

so how can you say god exists and not santa? we cant prove either exist right so why is it wrong to believe in santa?

The "Three Strikes" law sentences a three time convict to "life" on their third conviction. Sometimes the last crime does not even have to be a felony to give them that third strike? Will it deter criminals from commiting that third crime or is it just a waste of time (hey, that rhymes). This is serious. Please take it as that.

The term ‘Protestant’ signifies the amorphous mass of non-Roman Catholic heresies formed since the 16th century in the West in contradiction or retaliation to the Roman Catholic Church.
Whereas the one dogma that binds all Roman Catholics past and present together is submission to the Pope as sole authority (thereby abolishing every other authority), the one dogma that all Protestants have in common is the rejection of the need for submission to any rule for salvation, other than one’s own private opinion (about everything).
Undoubtably, within Protestantism there are many opinions and contrary beliefs, but they all base their religion ultimately in a rejection of external authority as needed for salvation. What Rome began with rejection of all authority save that of the Pope, Protestantism finished by rejecting the authority of the Pope as well.
