Religion is a powerful thing. You said it well when you mentioned the "fighting" over it. When you believe in something so strong as your faith, you fight for it. Just like you would fight for the friends and family that you "believe" in.

Because some people are not smart, their stupid people, ignorant people. I'm not a real bible person, but I remember something from the Bible which is really true. Man can't govern nations which is very true.

Because some people believe different things, and have free will to do so. Just because your smart, doesn't mean you can't disagree about religion does it?

We have that competitive nature.
Everyone thinks "my god is better than your god" and they are willing to put up their dukes to settle it.
