Allah is the same as G-d. Two different words for the same thing. Jews and Muslims share the same G-d--but according to Judaism and Islam, the Trinity is considered idolatry, so the Xtian G-d is an iffy case. Some consider them to be all the same, some differentiate. It depends on who you talk to. I, a Modern Orthodox Jew, will say that my G-d is not the G-d of the Xtians but it is the same G-d as Allah.
Peace

Much to the dismay of many. If you really read up on all three groups and what they beleive in, their Gods do seem an awfull lot alike. I heard a rumor, which may have a thread or two of truth in it! All three groups started in the same blood line, the same beleifs, The same area. But thru the centuries, the group broke off into smaller tribes and not all of them had written records so they passed them on by verbal stories. Further on down thru history there were more break offs and more stories. Of course written or passed on verbaly they still got distorted slightly with each passing generation. So now at present we have three different groups that started out at the same basic place but have ended up with different views because of being seperated and the slight variations that were made thru the passage of time.
Hinduism and Budahism can also be added to this group. Same basic start, different variations added and taken away, ending up in a different belief from each other, with the same basic begining. Yes, He's the same God! There's only one!

The Jews believe in the same God as Christians, the Old Testament came from Jews, Christians believe in the New Testament which happened after Jesus. Jews are still looking for the Messier,

Allah is the Arabic word for God. Even Christians and Jews that speak arabic use the word ''Allah'' for God.

They all take some 'basics' from scripture, but they all stray from that basic to justify their actions which are unholy. Yahshua said there would be false teachers and false Messiahs. Those are present in these religions. But this is also the way God intended. Here is the TORAH based on what Yahshua was teaching....
Deu 13:1 If there arise in the midst of you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give you a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for Yahweh your God proves you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Everyone believes in the same God. Jews were promised Messiah in their Torah. They do not believe he ever showed up, not yet. Christians believe that he did, and his name is Jesus Christ. Muslims believe that there were two of them: Jesus and Mohamed. They also believe that Mohamed was the very last one, so he knows the truth of God's word the best. I hope that was helpful.

There is only one God. If someone professes their love and devotion to God, it has to be the same God. The Old Testament refers to Yaweh, Jehovah and many other names for God. God tells Moses, God's name is "I AM" and that pretty much says it all. There are major differences in theology, of course, but even Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Calvinists, Unitarians, Quakers, - the list goes on and on - look to follow who they call God. Hopefully, same God.

Jews and Christians share the same God, but perceive Him differently (Single Entity vs. Trinity)
But the Qur'an states that Allah has no son.
The Bible states that Jesus is the Son of God,
so logically, Allah is NOT the God of the Bible, regardless of what the media is pushing this week.
Your first inclination was and is correct.

Evensout nailed it succinctly. This variation on monotheism is believed to have emerged in roughly the 20th century BCE in the Middle East. This phenomenon is recorded in the Hebrew Bible as the story of Abraham and his God. Abraham's God went through some different naming conventions and evolutions, but it is the God of Abraham that all three religions cite as their God, the one and true God.

Christians and Jews worship the One and Only God.
Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
They believe He hasn't come yet.
Muslims worship allah, not the same God.
They say their god doesn't have a son.
