I put in the classifieds that I am giving away some of my frogs and toads. A lady answered and we talk about where we will meet. I tell her that it is better for us to meet at a certain place on we WEEKDAY. Today is Sunday, of course, and I give her directions to the place I want her to meet me at and I say I'll be a this certain place (i'm not saying where) all day because I have to study anyways. Well, she then emails me back and says, "Okay, I'm leaving my house now. you recognize me because I am the young lady with two little kids with me. See you in a bit."

AH WHAT? By reading that, you can tell she thinks I am meeting her right NOW at the place we chose. I know I made it clear that I am available on weekDAYS. This is freaking me out and I kind of feel bad. But, I shouldn't feel bad, right? Because, I put it as clear as I could. Maybe when we saw the word "weekday" her mind translated it to "weekend". I am at a loss here.

Your thoughts?

This past year a good friend of my boyfriends was killed in a terrible motorcycle accident. I want to get him a gift for his birthday coming up that is like a rememberance gift. I already made a collage of pictures from their childhood together and recent photos- it turned out really nice. Some people got shirts made with his picture on them that say "R.I.P Bobby" with the date. But I want something original, any suggestions? please help

What is the relationship between science and religion? The advocates of theistic religion often maintain that religion expresses a mode of truth that is independent of scientific knowledge, and that religious experience presents a form of intuition or knowing that reason cannot comprehend. They claim that there is no conflict between these two domains and that they complement each other.
Can science explain religious behavior in naturalistic terms? Can there be a science of religion? Scientists attempt to account for various forms of human behavior: economic, political, biological, psychological. If we can talk about political science, or economic science, can we also talk about the science of religion?
I wish to focus on only one basic question: Why do people believe in religious doctrines, i.e., why do they accept the tenets of a religion and participate in its practices and rituals? Conversely, we may ask, Why do some people disbelieve in the tenets of religion or reject its pract

Witness it on a public scale I mean. Every individual can claim to have experienced something, but never with any real proof. I think quantum physics, human intention, and faith are all facets of science and the supernatural coming together, and very soon there is going to be a breakthrough in science or in government secrecy that will enlighten us all to this question. What do you think?

are there any historical documents or evidence that show services were offered during the week? If the ban was included for priests and service was only on the sabbath do we conclude this is the reason the commandment is " keep the sabbath holy" and not :" thou shalt attend temple on the sabbath?"

Since it is Sunday, have you ever had a bible verse pop into your head, then went to look it up to see what it was? And you thought it was divinely inspired because it was right on target?

Thanks for the survey! Yes or no and your thoughts. Please no mean people, open minded only.

Christians.......are you aware of any 'other groups' who are against abortion? This could be other religions and/or your own friends and acquaintences. It is untrue that Christians are the only ones who are against abortion......but they seem to be the only ones taking the 'blame.' Interesting, isn't it?

I'm asking this question here, because it's the section that includes escatology. We seem to have no problem with the idea that the future is eternal, streching to the infinite. But what about the past? Could the past have been eternal, or is somehow ruled out? Physics treats the past and future as symmetric, and there is speculation that "our" big bang (or "our" genesis) was one of many, perhaps an infinite number stretching into the infinite past. The alternative, of course, is that everthing began at some point, and continues from there into the future.

You are God and you have three candidates to choose from to be your prophet or representative in earth

1) Budha: Was a king, left all his wealth and pleasures, seeked truth, preached non violence, patience and forgiveness, never claimed to be God or representative of God.

2) Jesus: Led a simple life, preached non violence, associated with poor sick and needy, taught patience, love and sympathy

3) Muhammed Nabi: Born as poor , became a war lord. Killed other human being himself and ordered his followers to kill and plunder, Married different women at different ages, married a 9 year old girl when he was 50 ( he could have adopted the girl as daughter if the real motive was her protection), claimed himsef to be the last prophet ( can b e compared to Saddam and Idi Amin of Uganda declaring them as General of Army and president of the country.

Are you pretending not to understand this or are you really this deluded? You CANNOT just say 'it is the word of god' because it says it. That's like saying Coca Cola is the real thing because it says it on the can!
SImple-Men are sinners (your logic)
Men wrote the bible. Therefore could have changed it at any point in the early days.
Do you understand this?
