The Old Testament is a bunch of invented storys.. You need to look for the moral.. In my opinion... god doesnt exist.. in the bible the ppl contradict each other..

You have to realize that at that time the world was an uncivil place. There were tribes that would not live side by side in peace. In those days it was conquer or be conquered. Killing was common punishment for many crimes. There was no peace. severe punishment was the only thing understood by criminals. there were no jails. Those OT rules do not apply today.

Sadly yes. That's the sad thing about so-called religious "fanatics" or "fundamentalists." Their actions are actually condoned in the original texts of their religion. That's why they argue they aren't extreme, just true believers.
