Are you pretending not to understand this or are you really this deluded? You CANNOT just say 'it is the word of god' because it says it. That's like saying Coca Cola is the real thing because it says it on the can!
SImple-Men are sinners (your logic)
Men wrote the bible. Therefore could have changed it at any point in the early days.
Do you understand this?

The Bible was inspired by God, we all know that. But what some people deny to believe is that it is not 100% accurate. It has had a lot of revisions over the centuries and changed according to some kings' wants. As far as I know, the King James version is the most correct. But even more correct is...you guessed it, the Book of Mormon. It was written by prophets of God, and then translated through Joseph Smith by the power of God. So the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on this Earth because it as never been altered by man.

Very nice logic. I agree with you 100%! We do not know the Bible is accurate. Not with logic. But as with most things of faith logic is not important or even necessary. Living by the word of God works. Faith is built up on and we become certain that the words are true. If you read them you realize that it is utter foolishness, but it works. Living by the words put forth does exactly as it promises.

Also, many things mentioned in the Bible were once thought false turned out to be true. I believe that many more will one day come to light. But, it is not in the facts or the persumed accuracy of the word. It is when the life is changed that we realize that it is indeed accurate. Many people have given up their lives for these hallowed words and it is not in vain that they do so.

For me I like RC cola by the way!

oh and dont forget it was copied by had for over 1000 years by sinners and translated by sinners

and the whole writing it through men thing, i thought that people had free will? a sinner could twist the word to their own good

it is odd the the only non-sinner never wrote a book in the bible. it would be the only book to disprove you

well when you know how powerfull God is you dont consider that. if God is powerfull enough to make us and this earth and all that is living then he is powerfull enough to keep his word the same. funny how compared to 2000 years ago the Bible still says the same thing. thru all the translations it still carries the same message it did then. that is awesome. and yes we are all sinners the differance for some of us is i once was a sinner. and i may sin now and then i do my best to repent and turn away from my sins now. and i am now living in Gods will not mine. and i know the Bible is correct because God shows me. he shows us signs when we believe in him. healings to miracles. and many more.

Men wrote the bible, correct, but most of them wrote what God told them too. You're correct though, men are flawed, so the Bible is too. But then, assuming you are a Christain, the entire base of the belief is having faith, trusting what you don't see, and being sure of what is not proven.

First It doesn`t matter if it is 100 percent accurate. You can only do the best that you can do. God knows what is in the book. He also knows what is in you. That is what is important.

Even IF, it were 100 percent accurate, We are NOT and NEVER will be perfect. The only thing you can do is be the best YOU , that you can be, and leave the rest to him.

So many parts of the bible contradict other parts - but people aren't ready to hear that. Take it easy - read "The God Delusion" to comfort yourself (Richard Dawkins) and leave the others to catch up with logic at their own pace.

Well said... two thumbs up... After reading some of the responses, I feel your pain... (big sigh) It's impossible to construct a strong argument in defense of their position. So, I guess were just going to have to get used to the lame ones.
