It wasn't. The very basic tenant of the US, is the rights of the individual. Our founding fathers were very clear about NOT mixing Government and Religion. Many of our fore fathers were not Christian, and even the Christian ones clearly understood the danger of religion.
Things like "In god we trust" and "under god" are very recent additions and have no place in a SECULAR government.
Take some time and read the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. There is no mention of god at all.

Seems like a lot of muslims are against him, but when I question them, none of them knew why they hated him. All they said was that he wrote a book that insulted the prophet. When I asked if they had read the book, none of them did. What's worst is that some of them don't even know the book title that supposedly "insulted the prophet".

YOU MUST READ THROUGH IT ALL, the LAST page is the most important.
The last page explains it all!! It even explians why you feel the way you will when going through these pages. But answer honestly as you go through and let the Holy Ghost convict your heart, then at the end read the awesome news!!

Ok so today I went into a store called the Jesus Book Store, even though they had a lot of things like crosses, bibles, religious books, etc., today. This was the first time I had been in a store like that, and the longer I stayed in there the more anxious I felt. I don't usually experience anxiety, and I don't know why I felt it there. Maybe it was because my dad was there, and I dont really like family members near me or talking to me when im in a religious place like church or a temple. But, I don't think anxiety fully explains what I was feeling, because I still felt the feeling for a few minutes after I left. It was kind of like the feeling I get when i walk into a Sanctuary in a Jewish temple, exept greatly amplified. What do you think I was feeling?

Hebrew 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and the He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I have come to realize that each and every one of us has a different level of faith to believe God at what He can perform in our lives. I have identified that you and I are different when it comes to believing God for the vision or dream that is set before us in order to complete our destiny.
It does not make a difference in what you believe God will do in your life. Rather, it matters that we have the same intensity of faith to believe that God will do what we ask Him to do.

Faith is some what far-fetched when it comes to believing in something that you have never seen in reality. We only know that without faith it is impossible to please God and to complete any of our calls to the destiny of God.

Believing God for something take more than mere asking and hoping. It takes choosing to change.

I see it everywhere and maybe because it is so catchy but I think it is stupid.
What would Jesus Do?
Hmm if everyone did as Jesus did would he have needed to die on the cross for our sins as discussed in the bible.
I dont know but its a slogan that seems to carry as much weight as "Where's the beef"...just something stupid to put on T-shirt, bumper sticker or braclet.
What are your thoughts on the WWJD slogan?

here is Jesus, he has all the guns and army behind him. Tanks and nukes are in his hand, and planes are in his hand and tones of money. Now you have the Jews, with there bare hands and no money. Jesus says the only way to save you and win this war because I can do anything with my resourses....here take this wepon in your hand and pull the trigger so I can save you. Don't worry I will rise 3 days from now and show you I am the messiah.

O.k. this missiah is twisted. He needs to kill himself to save us.....did he not know ahead of time that he was going to die? Did he not even know the deciple that was going to betray him? Jesus killed himself, so he is not perfect, nor was the father that he served........he is the anti-christ in my eyes. twisting the jewish ways away from G-d with his blood angel of light apprance........... now you dine drinking his blood, and partaking of his body for what he did for you. NOTHING.

he is the blood god.... lucifer agree????

There are so many obviously God written codes in the Bible. Please don't respond with pissed off messages. I don't force my religion but I have seen quite a few things that make me believe that at least the bible is made by God Himself. Read on:

1- In the book of revelations it says " Let him who has an ear understand, calculate the number of the Beast for that number is the number of a man, 666."
Now starting at the book of revelations from the first letter to the last, every 666th letter spells out

Satan The Accuser

2- If you take all the names from the Old Testament and translate them to their original Hebrew meaning, they actually spell out the story of Christ.

3- In the old Hebrew language the letters also stood for numbers in a way. When translated back into the numbers and added up in the numerology sense of adding digit to digit, all the sentences added up to 7, 11, 7, 11, and when they calculated the chance of this it was 7bil, and the chance of this happening, 11,Tril!

Thirteen years ago today, my brother was in a bad accident. He was 15 at the time. He went out biking late at night, and made the stupid mistake of not wearing his helmet. He was struck by a car, and he got very serious life threatening head injuries. He was rushed into surgery, and the doctors didn't think they could do anything for him, and even if he lived, he would have serious complications. That night, while my brother was in surgery, all of his surgeons prayed over him, or so I was told. He is now 28. He has a wife, 2 kids, and just finished vet school 2 years ago. He has no complications. He still needs to have check-ups every two years, and whenever he does, the doctors always tell them that he was a real miracle. I believe this was the work of God. What do you think?

Note: Before you even do it...don't you dare call me ra cist.

It's gateway drug: Actually, there is no evidence that Marijuana is a gateway drug. It's simply the easiest and most affordable drug to get. Research has not shown that the majority of those who smoke dope move on the bigger/harder drugs.

If it were legal/decriminalized EVERYONE would be on dope: This is probably the most stupid arguement to have. Making something legal does not cause people to do buy/use things. Like when women were were given the right to walk around topless in my town... I haven't seen any woman topless. But it's legal!

It causes brain damage/cell damage : No proof of this. We have THC receptors in our brain. Instead of destroying these cells, it simply alters them.

Makes you lose your memory : Only short term while you are high.

Everyone who tokes is a loser : No, the losers who toke were losers BEFORE pot.

To overdose on marijuana, you have to smoke your body weight. You'd pass out long before you could even try. 0 deaths caused by Marijuana alone.

And we all with unveiled face. beholding and reflecting as a mirror the glory of God are being changed into the SAME IMAGE from Glory to Glory even as from the Lord Who is the SPirit. 2 Cor 3-18

I am in no way asking if we are to be worshipped as God... but as Christ's Bride and Counterpart for eternity should we not match Him in life and Nature? In the same way adam did not have a monkey for a wife.. rather he had a woman made out of His own side as bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh to be his match.. should not Christ's bride be the same.. Like Adam Christ's side was pierce and out flowed blood and water.. Blood for the redemption of His Bride and Water for the Imparting of His Life to her to transform her inwardly to match Him.
So is there such a thing as becoming God in life and nature but NOT in the GOdhead.

Did not include the words 'Under God'. Under God was not added until 1954. This is not a matter of opinion, people. This is historical fact. This was the original pledge:

"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands- one nation indivisible-with liberty and justice for all."

You can want to keep 'Under God' in there or take it out, but the fact stands-it was not in there originally. To deny it makes people look rather silly, don't you think?
