I see it everywhere and maybe because it is so catchy but I think it is stupid.
What would Jesus Do?
Hmm if everyone did as Jesus did would he have needed to die on the cross for our sins as discussed in the bible.
I dont know but its a slogan that seems to carry as much weight as "Where's the beef"...just something stupid to put on T-shirt, bumper sticker or braclet.
What are your thoughts on the WWJD slogan?

retarded as in to slow or hinder progress in something...in this case the phrase overused seems to retard the actual message.
Sorry for those who dont grasp language and misunderstood.

You'll notice that the people who believe that stuff aren't stupid enough to put it on really valuable things, like their cars or diamond rings. They wear it on their wrist and if you ask, they're supposed to give the BRACELET to you.

I'd rather have their car.

Yes, WWJD is an excellent example of ritual without content. I'm sure the people who come up with this stuff mean well, but they simply can't top the Church's ancient traditions. Give me a crucifix to wear around my neck to remember what Jesus has already done, a candle for me to contemplate Christ's divinity, water at the door of the church to commemorate my baptism, and the the sign of the cross to declare Christ's redemptive work in my life.

It depends on the situation at hand, before we could review and determined, What Would Jesus Do?

However, we have no need to take up the cross. Because he did it for us! Where Jesus speaks of taking up the cross and following him. It is used figuratively, to show a humbled life.

Where we would be ridiculed, mocked, persecuted, and in some parts of the world, killed, for confessing Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

A Christians Life starts upon two wills. God's Will and our will. And in order for Christianity to work. One Will (our will) must die! Where the two can become one! And brings about a surrender life to God.

The word "retarded" should be used when needed first of all.
The basics of what the Bible state are good for all men to follow whether you believe or not.
If you and others notice, most of the ten commandments are the foundation for which most societies base their moral and legal systems on.
Study the ten commandments and read some of the bible; it may help you to be decent.
You don't need religion to be decent.
Now that's a good slogan.

I have no problem with the slogan, I just think the people that show WWJD stuff really don't know what Jesus would do. I mean I know people who have WWJD bracelets but they are for the War in Iraq? Jesus would not maim and torture people in Iraq!

Besides, it has provided me with an endless combination of ways to poke fun - Who Would Jesus Do?

Jesus did not have to die on the cross, but then you would be end up dead. It is a noble thing to give a life so that others can be saved. He did what He promised to do.

I don't think it sounds retarded. But I am somewhat offended by things that make Jesus...a bumper sticker. It waters down the very idea it is trying to put across. Completely counter productive. I bet it has never changed a life.

you are correct in that if everyone did what Jesus did He wouldn't have had to die. But the reality of it is they didn't and so Jesus did lay His life down for us. WWJD I believe it a good reminder for the Christian.

No, I think it is a great thing to wear. It reminds us that in hard times when we think about cussin some one out or something else, that we can act better than that. If Jesus came to earth and died a sinless man, the least i can do is try to do my best even though no one is perfect except for the son!

And if ifs and buts were candy and nuts then wed all have a happier Christmas.

WWJD isnt designed to magically make everyone perfect. I think thats quite unrealistic. Its designed to remind people of Gods goodness and how what they should be modeling.
