Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.
Proverbs 25:28

Whoever believes in the existence of the spirit world (whatever religion you may be in) probably believes there is also a greater intelligence, but of an unknown quantity. So there must be another reality somewhere that is very different from our own. Assuming that the spirit world is intellectually superior, which would make sense since we basically have no knowledge of metaphysics, would that make that reality more real than ours?

If he does, why does he choose to not intervene during tragedies? He intervened all the time in the Bible. If God can't interfere with free will, he is not omnipotent.

I noticed a butterfly with pretty blue wings fluttering through the air. I watched as it danced from flower to flower, and then as it became suspended in mid-air. The butterfly had landed in the middle of a spider's web and the spider had emerged to claim it's prey. I watched then as the spider wound up the butterfly into a small white pouch and placed it neatly away next to it's egg sac.

What kind of lesson is there to be had in this?

I know some people aren't going to bother reading a lengthy post, so I'll post random facts: (He is English btw, as some of the terms relate to British terms.)

1) He's in a long-term relationship with me. I'm half Chinese/half White.
2) He is attracted to minority girls, but I'm the first non-white girl he's dated.
3) He WAS a skinhead and had skinhead friends. However he told me it has nothing to do with race, and it was a working class thing? He told me he wasn't racist and that it was just a blue collar thing.
4) He uses the n word and he calls Indians "Pak*". He also calls Eastern Asians "ch*nk*es". He also calls me one, but I call him "l*mey" in return. (Usually we call each other that in good humor)
5) He beat up his white friend for using the n word because he says he doesn't want anyone calling our future child names.
6) When he was young, his best friend was Indian.

So what is going on? Racist or not? I'm a bit confused because he seems "all over the place" in his ideolog

Lately, I'm kind of interested in Quenya, the language used by elves in J.R.R. Tolkien's books (The hobbit, The lord of the Rings etc.), but I just can't found a site good enough. I'm looking for a dictionnary and an easy way to learn it (the best thing will be to be based on short lessons).

because it's clearly stated in the Bible that if you marry a divorced woman, you are committing an adultery.

why does it seem that there are many divorced "Christians" re-marrying?

My brother-in-law married a woman from Brazil. They just had a baby boy. The announcement they sent around says the baby's name is Enrico.

So how is his name pronounced in Portuguese? They live far away, so I haven't had opportunity to hear them say the name. I refer to him as 'Enrico' since I am don't speak Portuguese. My mother-in-law keeps correcting me and pronouncing it 'Ahn-HEE-cay.' I know a little Spanish, and in Spanish putting the 'ay' sound at the end makes it feminine. Are the rules the same for Portuguese?

I am content using the english pronunciation, but my mother-in-law insists we say it 'correctly.' But I find American's slaughtering the prounciation of ethnic names trying to sound authentic far more offensive than just saying it in English.

Any thoughts? Help with proper pronunciation?

zionists have killed many many Christians too, oddly this fact goes unreported in the western media, yet where I live I can see this on my television and in newspapers. perhaps if the western world dropped the censorship, the truth would shine, and people would not suck up to zionists.

Lord Shiva, he appears to be like a beggar. He does not possess even a house. He lives underneath a tree. And the devotee of Shiva becomes very rich, opulent materially, although he's a beggar, whereas Vishnu is Lakshmi-Pati, Vaikuntha-pati, and the Vaishnava become beggar. Just opposite. By worshiping the beggar one becomes rich, and by worshiping the rich one becomes beggar. What is this contradiction?

I love quiet, calmness and solitude. I like to be isolated from people. It keeps me relaxed.
I'd feel lonelier in a group of people I'm incompatible with, then when I'm in the company of my own self.
I'm sick of stupid people treating me like a sad person, who needs help. I don't want their pity.
Why can't they realize I'm happy this way?

or did we just exist like that without any creation.
All planets revolve around the sun; perfect composition of oxygen in the air; Ozone etc. all sustaining life - just like that ?

NB: ozone is depleting, but man is becoming smarter by the day, and will devise new methods to deal with new problems.

About Big bang...its fairly stupid to attribute life and such - everything that exists to a big bang, without it being intiated through a more superior force.

I'm sure half the theories you will come up with can be fairly put away.

So who created the universe ? Now ahtiest, you tell me the answer.

I'm not trying to discard you, but just making things easier for you to comprehend - after all its the R&S section.
