After watching ABC's William & Harry interview. I kept hearing that Prince William will be the next king of the Wales. It was my understanding that once a king dies, that the oldest son would be king. I thought that once Queen Elizabeth's father, Prince Albert ( King Geo VI ) died, that Charles, their oldest son would be king. What happened ?

Why do some people put down others to make themselves feel more confident?
If someone were truly better wouldn't they behave in such a way that reflected their "greatness" instead of acting like a bunch of hoodlums spreading hate and lies?

.....because I (as a Atheist) say.....what you base your life on I completely dismiss completely as fiction and superstition.

Even if I say nothing but mention the fact I am a Atheist. Doesn't that automatically offend believers?

this is not intended to be offensive or rude--I am trying to LEARN something here...so please, if you take offense--don't respond. I've asked a few Q (you can check my profile) about atheists and many of you state how Christians are constantly telling "you" that you will burn in hell, trying to force their beliefs on you etc (which I don't find very Christian either) so--are these strangers? I highly doubt a complete stranger would start such a thing--but I could be wrong.
Or are they people you know and the same people whom YOU 'constantly tell them they're crazy and believe in a myth'?
I know when I meet someone, I don't even think about their religion or lack of belief. How does the subject come up? Why does it? How often are you really accousted by Christians?

I was raised a christian (luthern) and have noticed so many terrible errors in people on here. One person stated "god gave the devil dominion on earth". Got sent the devil to heck. He doesn't even rule there he's stuck there. One person said "cancer is a gift from god". WHaaaWhaaaWHATTTTT!!!??? I am no longer chrisitan but am still appauled by these people ignorant of their own religions. How can they be this way?

Do you rationalize it as "god is testing us and we can't understand what he's teaching us"?

They have taught me that alot of thing in the world are evil, such as frogs,lamaze,yoga,rock-n-roll,indians. They tell me I will lose my Salvation if I become part of the world and keep doing those thing that I listed. When I got sick with firbomyalgia, they told me it was because I had a generation curse and I have to break the curse.

Okay...I have been raised "old south." I grew up on the idea of women are ladies and men are gentlemen. I have been around that environment all my life. Now, don't think for one moment that I was sheltered as a child. Hardly! I have also been around the disgusting people who spit in public, pick their teeth at the table, and burp in public and do not say "excuse me." I can get over all that but I am very ticked off at the way men treat women this day in time.


I was at a party a few weeks ago and my girl-friends and I were standing around all night in high heeled shoes. We walked over to some guys we knew who were sitting in chairs to talk for a bit. I was very tempted to tell them all to get out of the chairs and let us sit down but I didn't want to start anything.

Where are all the gentlemen? Give me a reply if you guys are out there.

yeah so today was the last day of school and there were mexicans and black people from my school fighting with eachother.. it was over an ipod nano but they have beef with eachother in the past for some reason i dont know.. and ive also seen like other stuff where black and mexicans fight with eachother (bloods, surenos) and i just wanna know why black and mexicans beef with eachother for? like when did it first start and who started it and why??
