I kinda stopped going to my church because they told me my son's autism was caused by a demon. It made me mad when they said that. Was it wrong of me to get angry?/

1. The Bible says, "be ye angry and sin not"
2. Who is "they"? it could not have been the entire church. Was it one person? A couple people? Or the pastor?
3. "They" are wrong but never leave a church because of one person. Let God move you out of a church. If this is God's way of moving you then- ok but find the right church. Don't just stop going.
God bless and don't lose heart!

Yes, you most certainly did the right thing.
Autistic children are NOT demon possessed.
Only the very ignorant would say so.
Autistic children are actually VERY bright.

Find another church.
You nor your family needs to be in THAT kind of environment.

I have several friends who have autistic children.
Their pediatrics' doctor, who is also a Christian, told them about Charles Rouse, who is also a Christian, and has several different medical degrees and he has researched
all kinds of mild as well as supposedly terminal diseases and has vitamin-rich natural medicines that are curing cancers, bi-polar, ...etc., as well as natural medicines that have made amazing improvements on the neural transmitters that affect the brain.

He has an online site: http://www.themedicineman.com

His name is Charles Rouse and he and his wonderful trained staff are there personally to take calls and help as much as possible.

He is one in a million and the kindest most well-studied Christian PhD pharmacologist/doctor/researcher I know.
And he helped my friends' autistic children in amazing ways.

Give him a call.
AFTER you get your precious son and your family into a loving Christ-filled church that will appreciate you.

And NO, it was NOT wrong to be angry. Righteous anger is not wrong, but I would pray for them, they REALLY need it.

No, they come up with ridiculous nonsense like that all the time, though that was a little extreme. Don't forget, some of these people have thought processes not much more evolved than the people from the stone age. If the world was left up to those types, we'd have no science, no medicine, and we'd all still be living in clay huts.

well, anger does no one any good, least of all you. But, you had every right to be indignant, and I too would have left such a church far behind me.

you really need to find a church that teaches God word chapter by chapter and verse by verse and study for yourself
