They tell me I will lose my Salvation if I become part of the world and keep doing those thing that I listed. When I got sick with firbomyalgia, they told me it was because I had a generation curse and I have to break the curse.

Since you're looking for an opinion, in my opinion, any church says one thing or another is just evil is to be questioned. It's childish to give such simplistic labels to natural things. Frogs?! Give me a break. Lamaze?! It sounds like they aren't educated. When people don't understand something or are too lazy to learn or just too closed minded to consider something new, they are really loosing out on the beauty and wonder the world has to offer. If I were you (and I'm not) I would find another church. There are plenty of churches who love nature and world and would love you too, fibromyalgia or not. Best to you.

Oh dear Allison, that is precisely religion talking, and not the true answer from the bible. The bible does not teach that frogs are anything but one of God's creations. Lamaze, yoga, rockn'roll are not even mentioned in the bible. But some of the preachers or pastors, have enhanced their sermons and the congregation is guilty of not reading the scripture to find out. Sometimes when you question the leaders, they speak like fire and brim stone, but this in particular is their opinon. You will NOT loose your salvation, that is not the intent of Jehova God of the bible. He has offered salvation because He wants all of us to come to worship before him. Jesus washed away ALL of your sins, and mine too. It is not up to your pastor to threaten you, God is our judge, and you have done nothing wrong. But God will judge those pastors and priest who make up this stuff.

Look, please: The bible says, God is so pure and good, and is the purest form of love. We are sinners, and always will be on this earth. We can not be "good enough", we can not earn our way in to heaven by doing good, we can not pay enough tithes, we can't even do a ceremony as some religions contend in a temple. So God sent Jesus, who was/is the perfect sacrifical lamb, in place of the old testament sacrificial animals, to be our sacrifice. It is way simple: accept the gift of the blood sacrifice of Jesus. And give your dear heart to Him.

I have heard of generational curse and fibromyalgia is not anywhere near that. The guilty sins of that generational curse are like incest, pronography, hate, anger, beating women, divorce, adultry, etc. where kids who see their fathers (and moms) doing things, then they continue to do these things, and inadvertantly teach it to their children. It is our/your responsibility to stop the bad chain. May be you would consider going to a church where they teach from the bible, instead of being a religion. Calvary Chaple is one that I know and recomend.

Allison, there is such a thing as a generational curse, this is usually a spiritual problem....Fibromyalgia is a genetic disorder, you may have a genetic pre-disposition to this health challenge......Frogs,I assume are considered evil because of the O.T. plague of frogs....they are not inherently evil. As to rock and roll.....any genre of music can be used for good or for evil and is dependent on the minds and hearts of those who perform and musical composition....If you are speaking of secular rock and roll, this can be a stumbling block to your Christianity as one can be drawn into wrong thinking as you feed on lyrics that are not compatible with Christianity:death metal or music that is expressly used to stimulate a sexual appitite. Yoga has is roots in Hinduism,so be very careful that you are not sucked into the philosophy of Hindi teaching....and there is more to Yoga than just exercise for the body.........Are you Pentecostal?...........

I nearly cried when I read what you wrote.

I am a Christian. I have been a minister of music for 37 years. I like frogs. I used Lamaze techniques to deliver both my sons. I practice yoga daily and I love rock n roll. I also have lupus.

That generation curse stuff is old testament and Jesus made a new covenant. And IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT.

People blame the victime of invisible chronic illness because
1. they are are afraid of what they can't explain and
2. they have to find some way to believe they won't get it and
3. your sickness reminds them it could happen to them too

The guilt they are placing on you IS MAKING YOU WORSE.
There is scientific proof that when you have negative thoughts and stress it makes your immune system worse which makes your disease more active which gives you more pain.

Break out of this insanity please.

Sister... one thing i have noticed with some sects in christianity... its the Over emphasis of Satan in everything. There is so much focus placed on evil and " looking out " for it where its lying in wait of our ignorance to pounce on us and enslave and trap us.
I too grew up in a church where much of the thoughts and emphasis was on the devil and evil and demons rather than the Lord Jesus Christ..
Christ is our Life .. as believers our true life is hid with Christ in God.. The Lord.. through the word gives us the " heads up " regarding what is of satan and what is of Him...
But our focus as believers should be in loving the Lord and each day opening up our being for Him to have a way to make home in our hearts through faith.
I would suggest that you have some time in the Lord's presence... seeking Him on how to go on in this situation. You seem to be very uncomfortable with the extreme way of this " church"

One sure proof way of knowing if a church is of the Lord or not is this..
Always ask yourself..
Am I loving the LOrd more by being here.. am I growing in a healthy way in being here.. ?
If the answer is no.. that you have more questions and fears and uncertainties more than ever .. then sister. i would suggest that you seek elsewhere to fellowship.
I meet with some very solid brothers and sisters in the word. Over the past few years i have been drawn to love Jesus more and by the Lord's mercy have been able to grow bit by bit.
There are churches in most cities all over the world
I'll leave this site for u and maybe you can seek one in you city.

Salvation is through grace. We are all sinners, and the only way out is through grace. The criminal hanging on the cross next to Jesus was allowed in heaven because he ASKED. You ask for salvation, you get it. It doesn't make you stop being a sinner.

You need to find a church that preaches the Bible without the extras. Sometimes the Southern Baptists are good about that.

Sandy in her answer, said Satan is ' over emphasised'
sorry, but he is the 'gog' of the system we live in. He cannot be over emphasised enough.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

We get sick simply because we are imperfect.
Imperfection inherited right from Adam and Eve,
And because of it, we grow old and die.
But that will not continue indefinitely. because of Jesus; sacrifice, his death, for us, we can look forward to a time when there will no longer be death and sickness.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Many are reccommending another 'church'
Test out the teachings at www.watchtower.org or wander down to your closest KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES for the regular PUBLIC TALK.
No pressure and no collections. Enjoy..

All philosophies of value will ring true with their believers' native sense of reason. If your religion is teaching you things that you think aren't true, maybe your God-given powers of reason and judgement are trying to tell you something. My advice would be, do some reading on the beliefs of your faith and the beliefs of other faiths. Talk to clergy and believers. Above all, pray for guidance. A healthy, life-affirming religion should challenge you, guide you, and bring you a deep sense of peace and security. If your church isn't giving you that, you have a right and a duty to find one that will.

Sweetie, that isn't a church, it's a cult. You need proper medical care, fibromyalgia is a medical condition, not a "curse", yoga is a healthy form of gentle exercise, LaMaze is a great program, and what the heck is wrong with frogs? they are one of God's creations, too. Please re-think your beliefs, and get into a better church, this one sounds downright dangerous and crazy.

Your church is wacko. There is no religious reason to refrain from any of that, in any widely practiced religion. The church you go to is obviously very superstitious and wants to scare its parishioners into living "decent" lives. You're sickness has nothing to do with a generation curse, that's complete BS.

I'd find a different church, that one seems to be filled with psych-ward escapees.
