By definition, "gentlement" are people who do not work for a living. That leaves most of us out. If you mean "gentlemanly", referring to manners and etiquette, when women demand equality and are insulted if a man holds the door open for her, then I would say, "Where are the ladies". The answer to both questions is: they are like dodos, they are extinct.

I hold doors open for men and women a like. I sometimes yeild my seat to the elderly or handicapped. I try to mind my manners. That said I do not see many ladies around any more. More girls are chasing after my son and his friends than I can count. My co-workers wives are jumping in and out of beds and their lives right and left. Woman (men too) do not seem to value the family. They think marriage is just a piece of paper. Sex is to give away on a whim. I shutter to think of the day my son is ready to start a family. I fear for his happiness. I fear for his children. What happend to women wanting to be mothers? What happened to family? Women's lib is fine I suppose but I fear it has contributed to the damnation of America's children. My wife says she liked havng doors opened for her.She didn't need liberlization. She was the boss here anyway. When I see the way some men and women act I'm afraid I just don't feel very gentlemanly. Besides sister, what makes you think you can change the rules of the game where a man is no longer respected as the head of his family, who is there to protect and support children and wife alike and still demand men yeild their chairs to you just because you dress up one night a week? Would you really respect them for it?

Sorry but there are not many men like that out there anymore, only ones who may give a seat to an OAP. Women fought for equal rights and now they have to put up with it. They can have it one way or the other, not both!!! lol

Gentlemen are a thing of our honored past. Our mothers, bless them...Wanted Independence in the 60's and now they royally F_ _ cked our lives up. The men said OK,"Be independent, get a full time job, raise the kids, and clean the house too, and while you are at it ***** support my sorry ***." These are the men of today and our family network is disintegrating . Thank you mom, instead of burning your bra you should have just hid it in the pantry where you drank.

the sexual revolution killed most of them, women wanted to be treated equally, and that had to work both ways but there are gentlemen still out there because I'm one of them, that's how i was brought up

You know, if some guys will not even put the toilet seat back up after they take a dump, obviously they won't do other courteous things.
The guy above me is so rude.
