I asked a question about some verses that contradicted each other in Acts, the only thing I got from Christians is abuse, total rubbish or they blamed the translation. The verses I got them from was the New American Standard version, you would think that the translation would be right by now.

Just because you consider Jesus God, do Muslims have to consider Mohammad God?
You are so close minded that you (some people) don't realize what you are saying... if you don't know about Islam, then you should not comment about it just to get 2 points, you might be offending people, the same if people don't know about other religions they should not try to give knowledge which was never really studied by them.
Why do some people think inside the box?
Islamists is not a proper word, it might be in the dictionary but the word is Muslims. (Muslims can be terrorrists, Christian can be terrorrists, Jews can be terrorrist but their religion it can't. People are not always following their religion perfectly.)

I have an oral test tomorrow, and we have partners and I need to make sure this is right:

Socio 1) ¿Vamos a ir directamente ahi?

Socio 2) Si.

Please don't just copy it all into an online translator, I really want a real person to tell me if it's right. There are not accurate. Ohh, and is there a difference between "allí" and "ahi"?

I have read numerous posts from atheists stating there is no proof that there is a God. Prove to me there isn't.

Some guy asked a question that the world would be a better place if all americans were arradicated? You think thats funny? Am i wrong?

I'm 24 and from the States. I'd like to take a trip to Britain but have heard several horror stories about taxi-drivers, people in pubs, etc.. going off on tangents just at the sound of our accent. This is something you would absolutely never come across in the States no matter your origin. So is it just a typical british thing, and nothing to be really concerned with, or something a bit more serious?

I used to date this girl that was bisexual. I wasn't dating her for that reason, so please don't start. Anyway, she had this notion that she should be allowed to date a guy and a girl at the same time and that both should just accept it. She also thought that would still be considered monogamy. I said that if she wanted to do that, I should be able to date two girls at the same time. She thought that was wrong because I already had a girlfriend (her).

We are no longer together, but I never could figure how dating two people could be considered monogamous just because they were different genders.

Religious people: what would you do if it was proven that God did not exist? How would you live your life?

Atheists: what would you do if it was proven that he did? How would you live your life?

No cop-outs like "My belief system is infallible and god has a 100% chance of existing/not existing." Assume that there is a radical change in your understanding of the laws of the universe, and it is possible for something other than what you think to be possible.

I know this question seems off the wall, but I'm doing research for a story I plan to write about vampires and of course vampire hunters and I was wondering if there are people today (Or in history) who actually dedicated their lives to hunting vampires and/or creating groups to do so? I know there are "vampires" or people who drink each others blood (very gross I know) but I have never heard of vampire hunters, nor have I seen them on a discovery channel documentary as I did with the "vampires"

I would like to know your views on why religion must play such a large role in everything that we do? Why rules that only exist to a certain group of people should be applied to everyday decisions?

And most importantly, why must the christians always mention "god" is the reason for everything when those who think differently choose not to because it might offend those with different beliefs?
(This is a legitimate question, not ment to offend or brew hatred.
Just a few questions I know many would like to know the answers to.)

Oh and i'll tell you a couple:

"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming in terror like his passengers."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A man and a friend are playing golf one day. One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course.
"He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer. His friend says: 'Wow that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You are truly a kind man.'
"The man then replies: 'Yeah, well, we were married 35 years.'"
she has but, everytime that person comes around or calls it brings her down. She has been unsuccessful in meetng other guys. She always has a look of distress on her face and she takes on her mother's sister's and brother's problems. She hardly looks at the positive side of things & I told her that she really should, because it might help. She recently was diagnosed with a medical condition and has been told by several dr's that it is NOT life threatening and her stressing about it makes it worse. She insists that she is NOT depressed, but it is obvious to everyone that she is. Is there a ritual to help her leave her bad realtionship behind and open herself up to a new and better relationship. She has hooked up with 2 different guys at different times and I tell her to let the guys make all the moves, she wants to cook for them & invite them everywhere. This last guy, I thought was gay because they went to a party (both been drinking)he spent the night & didn't try to kiss her
Personally, I feel that this should be completely acceptable. There is no reason anyone should have feelings against this in my opinion.
Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transexuals should be able to display the same kinds of affections in public without consequence, in the same manner heterosexuals display thier affection.
Please note by public displays of affection I am referreing to:
Quick Kiss on the Lips, Holding Hands, Kiss on the Cheek, Hug
etc... Things the general public would find acceptable for straight couples.
Now I understand that there is an argument that it is not good to expose our children to this. I disagree. If you go out of your way to shield your child from these sorts of things, they can become confused or they can later in life make rash and ignorant decisions based off a lack of information.
My question is, how do you feel about public displays of affection within the LGBT community? If you are against it please have a relevant coherent argument.
