what is the reason behind using black ink in most printed matter? can't we print most of them in green instead?

I am an environmentalist and have very liberal political views. However, I do not allow myself to be pretentious towards others and always take others opinions/beliefs into account. I live with three other girls and our utilities are included in out rent. We live on an on-campus apartment. Our housing bill is included with our tuition. They turn the thermostat up to the maximum. Usually on 85 degrees. I think this is terrible. Forget the fact that this is a total waste of resources, but a huge money factor. Residence life has threatened to increase our tuition if this carelessness continues. I have asked them in a polite, non-condescending way to keep it at a reasonable level. They laugh and call me a dumb hippie. I don't think this is right. Now they turn it to the complete maximum when I am at class. I think this is blatantly disrespectful and spiteful towards me. I try my best to be their friend and be cool with them. I think this is mean spirited. What should I do?

I am a holy ghost filled minister, according to the calling, I am a recruiting officer! It is my job to win as many as i can to JESUS CHRIST! Religion has about destroyed me. Whenever I send out an email to more than 1 person, like say 3 or 4 friends inviting them to do something, no one ever responds. Why is that? I think it's rude, and if you can't make it, you should at least email back to say, "sorry, can't make it."

It seems like their rationale is usually, "Oh, it was a mass email and so many people got it, so I figured it didn't make a difference if I responded." But I don't think sending something out to say 8 people would be considered "mass". Do you think this merits a no response? Or is this the new etiquette, that if you email multiple people, that means they can just completely ignore you?

And oddly enough, people whom I've just met and am more on a level of acquaintance-friendship with, they are actually more polite and will take time to respond! It's the ones who are supposed to be my friends who never bother to email back.

I don't know, this is a pet peeve of mine.

in the beginning god created Adam and eve.. They had 2 children (man) and then someone killed someone that makes 2 men and a woman... i am puzzling with this paradox. how the hell did they populated the earth?
