I have been a Baptist all my life and basically believe everything I have been taught. I will be getting married this November in the Baptist Church but have been told that I will not be allowed to dance with my new husband at the reception, nor will guests be allowed to dance. I have NO chip on my shoulder, I just want to know if there are other Baptist Churches out there that allow dancing at wedding receptions and what part of the U.S. they are located.

I would recommend everyone to go and watch the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) animation. We can learn the history of Islam and how it started.

One of the best movie that I have ever seen. Actually it is an animation, approved by the Islamic University of Al-Azhar in Egypt.

The pictures of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are not shown, due to respect and the high status he has.

We constantly hear from the fundamentalists that we have to put God back into the classroom or other places. How can we lowly human beings take God out of any place that He wants to be? It's absurd. If God wants to be in the classroom, then I figure He's gonna be there.

I'm talking specifically about politics here.

I just don't understand what the Jesus freaks (aka Evangelicals aka the Christian Right) want from the US government that they don't already have?

You already have the right to worship freely and love Jesus as you choose.
You have the right to pray anywhere you want. Including in school.
You don't have to get abortions if you don't want to.
You are free to worship as you choose.

So what more do you want?

Why do you want to pass laws forcing other people to obey Christianity? Can't you understand that not everyone is a Christian and not everyone wants to live by your Christian rules?

Why do you have to force your opinions upon other people?

Why can't you just do your thing and leave the rest of us alone?

Please explain this to me, because I just don't get it.

All I see is you trying for force your opinions on people who just don't want it. I don't care what you do. It's your life. Just don't tell me what to do.

A guy I work with said "tu eres bonita y noble." What does "noble" in Spanish mean? Is it the same thing in Spanish as it is in English?

He also calls me "mamacita" should I take that as disrespectful? He kisses me on the cheek a lot and asks me to be his "novia"..I take it as joking. He said "quieres ir bailando conmigo?" Do you think he was joking or serious? I don't want to take it seriously if he is just playing, but I don't want to hurt his feelings either, he's so adorable!
