Just another day to me. There r many other ways to show someone u care without making it a commercial ploy. If u really love someone, u show it everyday, not just Feb.14th.

It's nasty, kind of an evolutionary/Darwinistic holiday in disguise.
I mean think about it...if you are the alpha-male/female you get
1) Lots of sex
2) Lots of gifts and admiration compliments/"Valentines"
3) Invited to parties, maybe even orgies
4) Sometimes still spend a lot of money on entertainment
But if you are the average joe (especially for men) you
1) Spend lots of money of your Valentine or are laid out to feel guilty and selfish if you don't...and often get little sex or sex from a stranger which feels nasty the day after
2) Often have nothing to do while everyone else is busy indulging themselves, especially if you are single and not grossly popular
3) Find the parties you aren't invited to VIP are rather expensive (hey, Valentine's Day is a holiday for entertainment businesses to make more money off you
4) Find out you signifcant other broke up with you Valentine's day for "dramatic effect"
So, it's kind of a teasing kind of holiday...I've got it good b/c I have I have someone, but I'm not so blindsighted that I forget what it's like to be on the other side of it.

I never liked it. I hated all the lovey dovey crap. It's disgusting.
And in high school, all the stupid girls would be holding all these flowers and teddy bears. So Valentine's was more of a "Hey look at me. I got more things than YOU did" thing.
I remember 2 guys bought me lotsa stuff and both wanted to go out with me. I gave them both the same excuse. LOL! Hey, ya gotta be consistent with your lies, right?!
Well...... anyways. I love Valentine's Day now. That's only because it's the same day as me and my boyfriend's first anniversary. â¥

It's just another day commercialized to get people to spend money on mostly useless things for the sake of sentiment. It's a empty meaningless trivial money maker.

I hate it. Because everytime it comes along, I think about how f-ed up it is that I dont have a g/f, and how f-ed up my life is...
I turn off the TV, and try to busy myself with something, so that I dont get depressed over seing everyone else having sex, kissing and having a good time.

It's a commercial ploy, based on suckering a segment of consumers to buy overpriced novelty items.
