How many states in the USA are Christians allowed to hold office in?
How many states in the USA are Atheists allowed to hold office in?

Compare the two answers (yes they are different) and please tell me which group out of the two is the being persecuted.

Why do Christians claim to be persecuted here?
(Not an atheist)

There maybe laws on the books prohibiting atheists from holding office in some states. We all know that such laws would be held unconstitutional if challenged. Thing is we are a representative democracy as are the states and the people would not elect an openly atheistic person. And I'm fine with that. As for Christians claiming to be persecuted, I haven't heard that complaint. Though it seems that ridicule of the Christian faith is widely accepted and anti-Catholicism by other Christians and secular persons seems to be flourishing in the good ole USA.

Well, a Muslim holds office from Detoit, so Athiests and Christains are out of luck there in unison!

Your point is well taken, but by the same token there was NO boat full of Athiests that pulled into some inlet in 1600.

Sorry folks. You weren't PILGRIMS.

The Protestants and later the Catholics were here first.

They GOT the CHARTER from King James.

He didn't grant to CHARTER to ATHEISTS

You amount to 1% of the population at best.

You ARE allowed to hold or run for Congressional or Senatorial seats in the Federal Goverment in all 50 states.

THAT is warranteed by the US Constitution and if any state tries to stop you, you can take it to the Supreme Court, who will probably SIDE with YOU.

Local and States are allowed to set their own rules and the Federal Goverment can't get involved.

In Detroit, if you're a Christain or Atheist and you don't like your Muslim representative, move or challenge him in the next election.

It's that simple.

If men don't like Women representative they can do the same thing.

If whites don't like a black representative they can do the same thing.

If people in LA don't like a Mexican in charge, they can do the same thing.

I know that at least 2 states do not allow people that are not of "a faith in god above" to hold office, but these laws are outdated, and probably not used anymore.

Christians have had the Persecution complex for 2000 years, sure they started as the persecuted, but then quickly became the persecutor. and have remained such since then.

If you are stating that Atheist are not allowed to hold office I would say you are either being dishonest or your mistaken if you are correct there should surely be lawsuits as the United States has freedom of religion.

well there is the separation between church and state
so it doesn't really matter what religion you are. people might not vote for you if you are radically in one religion or if you have no religion but there is no law prohibiting it
for example: if you are a right wing republican christian running for office in california it is VERY unlikely you will win.
but if you are more open minded but still christian things may be different.
but i repeat there is no laws prohibiting too many athiests or too many christians from holding a position in a public office. it is entirely up to the people
read the constitution for more details

Discrimination is subtle, right, and also obvious. The news media is often slanted. There was a time when truth was the golden rule in publishing. Now its distortion and outright lies. There are many situations that I don't have time to bring to your attention. This is an answer to your 3rd question.

So? You've taken one little piece of government trivia and stacked it against a myriad - removing "under God", prayer in public schools, forbidding Bible studies but allowing Satanists to gather, abortions,ad infinitum...

The evidence of persecution is overwhelming, and it has just begun. You may stand when my head rolls off the executioner's block - God help you if you follow THAT
"liberator" - he will be Antichrist and the bane of your soul.
