Do they understand that you have to state a true premise, and follow it with valid inferences in order to always reach a true conclusion?

If I say:

1) PREMISE: If I feel there is a god, then he exists
2) PREMISE: I feel there is a god
3) CONCLUSION: god exists

The conclusion is a valid inference from the premises, but the conclusion is FALSE because premise #1 is false. There could be other reasons for why you feel the way you do, thus the conclusion you reached is not supported.

Muslims claim to worship Allah, but blasphemy in Islam is insulting Mohammed. It's a crime punishable by death. You can insult Allah all you want in Islam without punishment. Only insulting Mohammed is considered blasphemy. In Christianity or Judiaism, blasphemy is insulting God, not Moses or Mary.

Can someone explain this?

All scripture and prophesies before Muahmmed are corrupt unless they agree with the Qu'ran that was given to Muhammed. No prophets will come after Muhammed. Muhammed is not anounced by God and only bears record of himself.Allah can not speak only what comes from Muahmmed and with Muhammed dead Allah must shut up....Isnt Muhammed greater than Allah if Allah can only speak through him and now he is dead?

Silence may be painful, but in silence things take form do they not? We must wait and watch mustn't we? In us, in our secret depth, lies the knowing element which sees and hears that which we do; not see nor hear. All our perceptions, all the things we have done; all that we are today; dwelt once in that knowing silent depth; that treasure chamber of the Soul. Are we not more than we think? Are we not more than what we know? That which is more than what we think and know is always seeking and adding to itself while we do nothing- or think we're doing nothing. To be conscious of this going on is to help it along is it not? When subconsciousness becomes consciousness can the silence in us then spring forth and sing with all it's might? Are we then complete or do we add to this evermore, into the infinite?

If scripture is the source of morality, is slavery morally permissable? The bible has many passages that deal with the correct treatment of slaves, and correct dealings between slave holders, but none that forbid slavery. If slavery is now immoral, how is that reflected in scripture?

I am a white born and bred Londoner and like the majority of Brits, of all origins, I find the situation disgraceful. The three foul women should be despatched forwith from the house and their large FEEs withdrawn. Lets hope and pray they get their just deserts! With luck the 'Singer' will not now revive her career. Teddy Sheringham will realise what sort of woman is trying to drag him to her gutter level and Goody and family just get off our screens for ever. Why do the sponsors not put their foot down - shame on Carphone Wharehouse!
Just hope the World realises the majority of Brits- of all nationalities, believe we can live together and that we can make Britain GREAT again !

Matthew 22:21 says, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s.”

1 Peter 2:13-14 says, “Submit your self to every ordinance of man ... to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors.”

However, Acts 5:29 says, “We ought to obey God rather then men.”

Suppose that there are people out there who need help and I want to help them, which is morally good. If I don't help them they will suffer. Yet the law states that I cannot help them. Do I help them or not?

Ive noticed here in the US accents that are Latin (French,Spanish) tend to be considered sexy. While others tend to get poked fun at more (Indian, German). What about in your country? Ive always imagined our accents (especially southern accents) would be looked considered un-sexy.
