As-Salāmu `Alaykum means peace be upon you.
Arabs usually just say this to say Hi. But in some cases if you are not muslim or not that religious, you can just say ahlan (simply means hi)

Now for your second question i dont know :(......not that good in arabic, my second language

arabic has different accents according to the country.
I ll tell you in Egyptian arabic:
"Ahlan, ezayak? enshalla tkoon bkheir" you pronounce it like: "Ahl-lan, ez-zayak? enn-shalla tek-koon be-kheir" (the kh is pronounced like the spanish X in Xafier)
the second one is :"khaly balak men nafsak, salam ya habeeby" pronounced : "Xal-ly bal-lak men nafs-sak, sallam ya hab-beeby"
"ya habeeby" means my love or my darling..
most arabs find egyptian accent comprehensible. the vice is not versa.
