Muslims claim to worship Allah, but blasphemy in Islam is insulting Mohammed. It's a crime punishable by death. You can insult Allah all you want in Islam without punishment. Only insulting Mohammed is considered blasphemy. In Christianity or Judiaism, blasphemy is insulting God, not Moses or Mary.

im not going to give you a long winded essay but i believe its because Mohammed as they believe brought Islam to acknowledgment through Allah. Allah being God can do the punishing if you inslut 'Him' and if Muslims puished people who insulted Allah i guess they would have to punish all non-Islamic believers as that is an insult to Allah - for not beliving in him after he gave you life.

From what I understand you can't insult Allah, Jesus, Moses, Mary or Abraham in Islam either. You MUST praise the prophets. THEIR view is that Christianity insults Moses and Jesus. They seem to think Jewish and Christians are the "anti-religion" because they are at odds with Islam on these people and what they did...

They worship Allah. Mohammed is their prophet. Blasphemy is a sin. But you don't get punished for it. At least in my country.If you swear community's value judgment and publish it, it's illegal and it's a crime. If you beleive in God or Allah and if you sin, you get punished for your sins in hell.. And i really don't know how is it like in other Muslim countries. My country is secular. But don't know about the countries which are ruled by the Sheri'a.

We do not insult any of the Prophets (pbut). We do not insult Mary. We are not even allowed to insult or disrespect our parents or insult or disrespect the parents of others eg. our friends.

Well first things first muslims do not worship Muhammad (S.A.W.) he is our example to show us the right way to worship god. We punish those people because they should noyt disrespect the any prophet of Allaah. Second people are punished for disrespecting Allaah. So before you say that we worship Muhammad (S.A.W.) get your facts from a muslim.
