that celebs and people that pose with their pointer and middle fingers up, like "the number two" or the peace sign are flipping the bird, insulting them? For example, see Kelis and Mario here... http://crunktastical.blogspot.com/

Yah, okay, most of us are homeless - so, hypothetically, where on the planet would you most love to have a second one? And why?!

I know it is a German exclimation, but I am interested in the literal and idiomatic meaning, and why it means what it means.

Thanks!

Imean I have witnessed conversations where men go on like they are so above it, but everyman does it or has done it or will do it in the future. It is nothing to feel self conscious about as it is a human function.

To seek the mystical properties of God:

" the pursuit of achieving communion or identity with, or conscious awareness of, ultimate reality, the divine, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, or insight; and the belief that such experience is an important source of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.

The term "mysticism" is often used to refer to beliefs which go beyond the purely esoteric practices of mainstream religions, while still being related to or based in a mainstream religious doctrine. For example, Kabbalah is a significant mystical movement within Judaism, and Sufism is a significant mystical movement within Islam. Gnosticism refers to both a mystical movement within Christianity and various mystical sects which arose out of Christianity. Some have argued that Christianity itself was a mystical sect that arose out of Judaism. While Eastern religion tends to find the concept of mysticism redundant, non-traditional knowledge .....

Yes, Yes the Adam and Eve thing. But does that make any sense to you? Why is a baby born a sinner because of what someone else did?

Okay.... So After the MLK holiday, so far all I've heard was "Martin Luther King saved our lives....What our poor ancestors were put through by white people"....blah blah blah.... But how come Abraham Lincoln is NEVER spoken of or praised by "black" people? Do they not want to recognize that a WHITE man is the one that stopped slavery? MLK did not FREE slaves, he just spoke up for black people, which is an awesome thing, he made a great impact on the way black people live today, but if it wasn't for WHITE Abe Lincoln, they might still be slaves to this day. Also, How is it NOT racisit for there to be a black only college, black month, tv channel, etc. but if whites did, it would be racisit? What if us "crackers" say "Hey! They have their only college, why can't we?" How would that be any different?

There are two aspects of the monotheistic God of Judiasm, Christianity, and Islam that do not seem to be necessarily connected:
1) The first cause, the beginning of all things;
2) The spirit who is concerned with people's lives, and the everyday workings of the Universe.

One way of defining the difference between Deists and Theists is that Deists believe (1) but not (2), whereas Theists believe both (1) and (2).

Is there a necessary and logical connection between these two aspects of God, or are they separate, independent aspects?

Is it easier to become an atheist nowadays because one breeds others or is it being aired more on the web.

I am surprised at the number of people who freely admit to being atheists.

My boyfriend of 3 years absolutely hates Valentines Day, he makes me pick out what i want and he will buy it. I want to get him something not necessarily Valentines related. Money is not really an option, i bought him a nintendo wii for our 3 year anniversary. He has everything and won't give me any hints. He says he doesn't want anything. What do guys like? I want it to be a big suprise.

Well you guys, I don't understand what is going on. I am a young lady in my mid. 20's and I find it hard to stop thinking about women. I have dreams that are some how inappropiate, but I don't feel bad about having them. There is probably not a day that doesn't go by that I don't think about a woman.I have had crushes on about 3 of my friends. Why is this happening? Many say that I am bicurious, cause I got a man and everything and I never done that girl on girl thing.I've been this way for 3 (1/2) years. I don't understand it. Tell me why I feel this way? Do you think that it is hereditary?Don't answer if you are going to antagonize me.

Please don't take offense, this is an honest question.
If, as an atheist, you don't believe in God or life after this one then why have children? Why would you want to bring someone onto this planet, which is often harsh and painful (albiet joyful at times), when their is no "happily ever after" to look forward too?
