Check out the Mithran civilisation and the one that preceeded it, it was matriarchal, mostly democratic with huge personal freedom and wealth thousands of years ago.
It also didn't last very long, any group that didn't do one or more of those things got their butt handed to them by a group that did.

Okay, you think its uneducated to sit and read a book on Christianity or even read the bible itself? The history of Christianity is FILLED with war and slavery! Maybe if you'd take a look around on Yahoo Answers, you'd see that its not the agnostics that have a problem with Christians. Its almost everybody. Even other religions.
I think you should look up the term Agnostic, before you go bashing us. It means that they are neither atheist or theist. They just think that there isn't enough proof to prove that either side is completely correct!
Do your research before you ask ignorant questions and bash a group of people that you don't even know what they believe!

I wonder whether "the agnostics like to sit around here and act like Christians are violent and war-like." I'm an agnostic, and that's not an activity that appeals to me, so to that extent it's not universally true. Can you supply some sort of verifiable data that would back up your premise?

Buddhists are about the only group that has actively avoided involvement in politics even when secular authorities have tried to use Buddhism as a political tool as in Thailand.

You're right! There is not one group, race, nationality, ethnicity, gender or religion who DID NOT participate in the above-mentioned things. (Well, maybe except for the Jehovah's Witnesses, who appear to be neutral in these matters) Otherwise, you're exactly right.

Yes, they were the voluntary prisoners during the holocaust.
They were not Jews, nor gays or of any race, they just refuse to serve in the military nor hold a rifle and fire it.
