Only the Christians seem to feel that way, the rest of the world couldn't care less.

You're taking Christian martyrdom to a whole new (fictional) level. What is the dominant religion of the most advanced countries in the world?
It is Americans who are not too popular right now, and for a lot of good reasons. We've come of as rampaging bullies in the last six yeears, and the next two aren't looking much better.

No, I haven't noticed that.
Because it's not there to notice.
A lot of the hatred comes from within your own ranks, dear. Buddhists don't hate Christians or Christianity. Pagans don't, as a rule, hate Christians or Christianity (there are some, and they have good reason, but they are a minority).
I don't actually know what the attitude of most Hindus is towards Christians or Christianity, but I doubt that it's as deep as "hatred".
Try to cultivate a sense of perspective.

Having not conducted any research into the matter, I cannot state with any certainty that your assumption that "most of the people in the world don't like chrisitans (sic)" has any validity. I would like to verify that the statement is true. Can you direct me to your source of information?

With a following of close to a bilion people or one in six people on earth, I wonder why you think that way. I havent noticed people not liking christians, no not as yet.
Christianity is a religion of love and peace, why would anyone hate Christians if they followed their religion properly?
A few bad apples have tarnished its image (paedophile priests). But then people should dislike those people for what they do and not for the religion they follow. Hate is rather a strong term. Christianity teaches us not to hate anyone. Love your brother as yourself in that way there would have been more peace on earth and goodwill among men.
Many of the wars being fought today could arguably be due to a lack of Christian virtues.

That's an ignorant question. Depending upon your level of ignorance and what your religion is, you could easily ask: Why is Islam the most hated religion in the world?

Because christians want a theocracy. History shows that christians have caused the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Witchtrials and the Holocaust yet people dismiss that and make excuses like theyre not true christians or its in the past, just because its past doesnt mean it cant be repeated either. Christians are hated because they kill/murder, maim, rape, and torture and still think theyre going to heaven even after they do bad things. To the morons below me: christians are NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIER ACTIONS, THEY THINK JESUS WILL PAY THIER WAY INTO HEAVEN EVEN IF THEY ARE SERIAL KILLERS. ARE YOU JUST THAT THICK?

The world hated Christ since the beginning of Jesus' birth. When He was born, Herod killed all the boys that were under the age of 2, because He was under the influence of Satan, because Satan knew if he persuaded that man to get Jesus killed, we as the human race would not get a chance to see God. So count it as another prophecy fulfilled from the mouth of the Word of God, Jesus, Himself. He said that the world hates Him, so why wouldn't they denounce the very existence of Him.

Next to Islam, they are the most oppressive and dangerous cult the world has ever seen.
Millions of people have been witness to this.
It's that simple.

This should not come as a suprise to anyone who calls himself a follower of christ.
Matthew 10:22
"You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
John 15:18
"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
Jesus says that the world hates him because he says what it does is evil.
Jesus is still alive here and is talking to his disciples. He is saying that cannot hate them yet. Esseintally, because his work is not done. But it illustrates why the world hates christians.
John 7:7
7 "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.
John 15:18
"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
John 15:19
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
Here are some things:
Matthew 5:11
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
John 15:20
"Remember the word that I said to you, `A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
So quite simply, we are hated because of our belief in Jesus. Nothing more, nothing less.
We could pretty much follow the same standard, and if we didn't believe in Jesus, we would be counted as good people by the world.
Since we believe in Jesus though, even following the same standard, we will be hated.
This is one of the reasons we know the bible to be true and inspired by God. Now if the world loved us, then we would have to question it.
To be quite honest, Islam is more tolerated than Christianity.
Think of it...
How many baby Jesus' had to be removed from nativity scenes?
How many were expelled from school by reading the bible and praying?
Now, tell me why other religions and their practices are what is advocated more by law and by political correctness?
It is fine to pray to Allah but say Jesus in school or at work...
I think you get my drift.
