To seek the mystical properties of God:
" the pursuit of achieving communion or identity with, or conscious awareness of, ultimate reality, the divine, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, or insight; and the belief that such experience is an important source of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
The term "mysticism" is often used to refer to beliefs which go beyond the purely esoteric practices of mainstream religions, while still being related to or based in a mainstream religious doctrine. For example, Kabbalah is a significant mystical movement within Judaism, and Sufism is a significant mystical movement within Islam. Gnosticism refers to both a mystical movement within Christianity and various mystical sects which arose out of Christianity. Some have argued that Christianity itself was a mystical sect that arose out of Judaism. While Eastern religion tends to find the concept of mysticism redundant, non-traditional knowledge .....

If you really want to know your Creator, know why are you here, try Kabbalah:
"The science of Kabbalah is unique in the way it talks about you and me, about all of us. It doesn’t deal with anything abstract, only with the way we are created and how we function at higher levels of existence.
The science of Kabbalah does not deal with life in this world. Instead, by studying this system we re-attain our level before we descended, the same level where we will be at the end of our ascent from this world. During this ascent, the study of Kabbalah builds within the student a system equal to the higher system.
This system begins to organize and manifest itself in the person who wants to achieve it, and who studies it for this purpose. Just like a drop of semen can potentially evolve into an entire human being, and subsequently grows into a mature grown-up, the science of Kabbalah develops our desire to attain a higher level of existence.
At first this is a tiny desire, called “a point in the heart.” This point is like the embryo of our future states. By studying the structure of the upper world, we develop the “genetic” information within it, and as it grows, the structure resembling the higher levels forms within us.
This is why studying is so rewarding. Even if we do not understand a single thing about what we are reading, simply trying to understand the Kabbalistic texts nurtures the point in the heart, the desire for the Higher One, and the point begins to grow. The more it grows, the more we feel the appearance of a new creation, a new and different feeling of a world within ourselves.
In so doing, the science of Kabbalah gives us the opportunity to feel the upper worlds, to understand everything that happens to us, and most of all, to control this process for ourselves. "

Hebrews 10:24,25 says; "And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, (25). not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near."
That means assembling together as a united brotherhood!
Also Proverbs chapter 18 verse 1 states; " One isolating himself will seek [his own] selfish longing; against all practical wisdom he will break forth."
That means we cannot sit at home by ourselves and just decide what is right or wrong based on our conscience.
The men who crashed the airplanes on 9/11 believed in their hearts that they were doing good and that they would be rewarded. Jeremiah 10 verse 23 states "I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step" So man needs direction not based on what he feels in his heart but based on what the bible says.
The bible is truly Gods word and it the only book that God has inspired to direct us through this dark and confused world.

Well, Christianity is no doubt, greatly influenced by the many “mystery religions” that existed before it and during it’s beginnings.
I would say, be open to different ways of thinking and different schools of thought. Spirituality and Mysticism is different.

In my lowly opinion, one should remain open to all options, but we shouldn't be so gullible as to believe everything that is told to us. You will find Truth everywhere. There isn't just one group, religion, etc that contains it. That would limit Spirituality and one could not make the claim that Truth is Universal if you can find it in only one place.

This is the wrong question. The hidden things are private, and belong to the Almighty, and we should not be prying. The things the Almighty shared with us (Scripture) is to be studied to show ourselves approved, rightly sorting these things out. (modern version)

Think first what is your goal. My relationship with my God is very simple. I study His Word, I worship Him different ways. I want to be with Him in eternity. I do not need any new ideas, I just need to remind myself of the old ideas. That works for me.
