It seems like many Christians on this site have not been reading their bibles, what with all the hate they send out?
So... my fellow Christians, do you really think that insulting Islam, being vaguely racist/xenophobic is the way of Christ?
Remember:
Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Or do you think Jesus was off-base with saying this and you, perhaps, know better?

Today, some people kills wild animals in order to eat them and have a trophy. I think that, in our world, we no more need to kill and eat animals. We could all be vegetarian and live as well as before. Maybe better.

They keep saying the christians slaughtered during the crusades and they did. But the clear winners were the muslims.
Who killed 10 to one over the Christians.
then it was said they did take overs in Asia and Africa.
Read the population chart.
there is more muslim or Islamic takeovers in Asia and Africa.
There is only a handlful of Christians in these countries.
Someone is not getting the facts straight.
I am definitely not in defense of Christians.
But kids are reading these and getting mis information.
Muslims won the crusades and had clear victories.
As they did in the other countries.
there is only a handful of Christians in these countries.
How many people that you no know's this? Everyone keeps saying the Christians faught and won the crusades and history proves other wise. It was a total defeat for the Christians with greater lose of life than the muslims? Where is your information to prove other wise?

I just purchased my 1st home a brand new condo and planning a house warming/open house. I have pretty much purchased everything (major appliances, TVs, etc.)but still need some things and out of funds now. I would prefer if someone wanted to buy me something that they give me a gift card instead of a gift. I don't like registry because often times people do not follow it any way. Is there a way to word this on the invitations? When people ask me I've been just telling them a gift card is appreciated but I really feel ackward. What do you think?

The 6 would-be suicide bombers currently on trial in London were only caught because their explosives didn't detonate. It is all caught on CCTV (one man with a rucksack on his back actually stands next to a woman and child and attempts to detonate).

What do you think would be a fitting punishment for these disgusting barbaric monsters, and anyone who assited them?

my sis is learning about muslim/arab history and she told me about this hurrifying film she watched in the class. in it, there was this holiday where everyone was on the streets, and they were screaming "allah" and cut themselves! and not little cuts.. big ones on their heads, and blood went all over their face! and they did this to little kids too! and babies!...maybe holiday was meant to show that they would kill for allah.

++in schools, little kids painted israeli and american flags and stepped on them as they went out of class. the girls had to cover up and were seporated from girls, and the girls said it is their duty to continue the muslim faith...

well i don't mean to offend you guys, and i don't hate, but it makes me sad. how people grow up to hate. i grew up in israel and israelis are not bad people. for years we had muslims up north and we live in peace. the evacuation from aza was to make muslims happy. the US is nice too. it helps poor countries (+arab).

The two most general responses will usually be:

Atheist and Scientist

1.) There is no known way to measure or observe a supreme being/creator/God.

Please logically explain why if by scientific method it's not provable He doesn't exist?

Believers (All religions)

2.) Because it's in the bible, quran or similar holy book.

This is a circular reference, therefore not acceptable, because these books are the inspired word of God.

Please provide evidence to support your belief.

Thanks for your answers. :)

I was reading an answer where somebody thanked God for saving him from dying in a plane crash. That made me wonder...

A plane crash occurred. 540 people died, 17 survived.

Did God save 17 people? Did He save 17 people _and_ kill 540? Didn't he play any role in this? Did God save 17, and Satan killed 540? 540 people probably had the wrong religion?

In short: how does God work in playing a part in our daily lives?

I dont work in a shop at the moment, but i have in the past.

When people come to the till to pay for their goods and they count the money out and just put it on the counter instead of in your hand - I find this so annoying and rude, especially when the shop assistant is stood their with their hand out waiting for the money!!

Why do people do this? Have they got some problem with putting money into other peoples hands?

When they used to do it to me i would make sure that any change would be in small coins and i would just dump it on the counter like they did to me!!!

I mean, since so many devoted and pious Christians smoke and drink alcohol (which means that God approves of these addictions), what's wrong with some God-approved dope or weed?

Let us remember that even Jesus Christ made wine (which turned him into a sort of basement-made moonshine pusher, not approved by the ATF). So what's wrong with some home-grown hemp or weed?
