The 6 would-be suicide bombers currently on trial in London were only caught because their explosives didn't detonate. It is all caught on CCTV (one man with a rucksack on his back actually stands next to a woman and child and attempts to detonate).

What do you think would be a fitting punishment for these disgusting barbaric monsters, and anyone who assited them?

Never mind what we think, Justice demands their execution.

Justice is never fully done in this world and God only will bring in a fitting punishment.

Though Justice demands their execution I am concerned that they be shown mercy because God has shown me mercy.

Every single one of us deserves execution and punishment for our sins against God yet He has met the requirements of Justice in His own beloved Son that we might be forgiven.

I would want these would-be suicide bombers and murderers given the opportunity of God's mercy because execution in their present state would doubtless send them irretrievably to hell.

If I do not want even a single person to go to hell, much less God. Remember the thief and malefactor crucified with Christ. He even cursed Christ, Matthew 27/44, but later repented at the very last moment, Luke 23/40-43 and Christ accepted Him, such is the love and mercy of God.

For the sake of society it is surely necessary to execute them, but not before being genuinely given the opportunity of God's salvation. After that it is all in God's hands.

We ought to uphold that which is right, whatever our personal feelings or hurts may be.

Shouldn't we wait for the verdict of the jury b4 pronouncing sentence?
Just a thought.. if you were a comitted extremist bent on destruction and mayhem.. would you seek the advice of Sheikh Abbu Hamsa, a one-eyed, hook-handed cleric as your explosives advisor/expert??
If found guilty, I agree they should serve a long and indeterminate prison sentence, but that should include attempts at rehabilitation. If they could be persuaded to publicly renounce their evil ways, would not this send out a more effective message to others of their ilk and mindset than their summary execution and subsequent martyrdom?

I liked gjstoryteller's idea of 're-education'!

These are six healthy young men. They have potentially years of productive life ahead of them.

Let them work in hospices, with AIDS sufferers, with the mentally ill, the homeless. Let them be productive and useful members of society for the rest of their lives. Perhaps they will then realise that life is not something to be thrown away but to be treasured.

I believe there is good in everyone. Even these poor deluded fools. Luck (or God) saved them and everyone else from death. Don't waste that. Give them a second chance.

According to Islam, they should be stoned to death. This is not acceptable in any way, shape or form. Killing innocent people gets you sent straight to hell. The Quran says not to kill innocent people when in battle, yet here was this coward attempting to detonate right next to a woman and child. Shame on him. This muslim woman condemns him and others like him strongly. He is not going to get ANY virgins. The mullahs who have spread this myth are lying through their teeth, because nowhere in the Quran is there anything about a man getting any number of virgins. It does say there will be exceptionally beautiful handmaidens with large eyes to wait on them hand and foot and that they will be pure in nature (as in unable to be corrupt or betray) and that there will be gardens and rivers. But suicide is a sin, killing innocent people is a sin, and they themselves.................UGH!!!

i think that the death penalty should be brought back for certain murder. killing a member of the police force, terrorism, etc.if a terrorist is going to set an explosive device off in say an underground train, who is he going to kill and maime, both sexes. adults and children, any nationality who happens to be there, and people of many races and creeds. so therefore anyone who schemes and plans with aforethought knows what the result is going to be. should have his life ended should he get caught. rather than be given a jail sentence in the relatively soft british jails

"Clockwork Orange," comes to mind. As does "The Manchurian Candidate."

Given that they are already brainwashed by their belief system to think that nihilistic behavior is not only acceptable but desired, they are the perfect candidates for re-programing.

Reprogram them so that they all become florists. Add a dash of community service to the mix so that they spend all of their spare time volunteering at homeless shelters and food banks.

a some distance better punishment could be to take him to a protection rigidity training container, thence to the troop outhouse there chain him to the backside of the 'Drop Basin' , the place he can face the dying of the various 'complete Moons' because of the fact the infantrymen 'decrease the cheese' into the chamber. thieve a guy's cheese, will he?
