I am under the impression that the word "yet" should always be used with the perfect tenses, like
1. I have not finished my homework YET.

However, ........
2. "You are not qualified to give any medical advice YET."
3. "You have not been qualified to give any medical advice YET."

Between 2 and 3, which is correct if I am speaking to a medical student?
Also, is there any ocassion where using the other sentence would be correct (not necessarily grammatically)?

Think about this, if there is life after death the ethiest will be a double loser. But, if you believed in God on earth and when you die you found out that there was no God there is nothing to loose. However, if you were an ethiest and believed you whole life on earth that there was no God and after you die you found out Wow! So, this is specifically for ethiest out there, do you realy want to be a double time losers?

I have always had a "let bigons be bigons" attitude and "as long as they do it in doors" attitude towards gays, but i have just been shopping with my son and as walking through the shop just turned and noticed a couple holding hands head leaning on one another. chubby spikey hair tight top to reduce breast size and big boots and loads of rings the usual stereotypical gay women. My question is, im sure some time back it was illegal for gay couples to hold hands in a public place. Is it still illegal? also what do you feel about it?

For example, I live in Thailand. Thai Buddhism has healthy mixtures of Hinduism and animism. Until about 100 or so years ago, Thais never used the Western word "God" because Buddha isn't considered God in the Western sense. However, they sometimes now use them interchangeably because Christian missionaries said "Your Buddha is like our God."

In much the same way, it seems Christianity got the idea of the trinity from Hinduism and the prayer beads from Buddhism. The virgin birth stories and the idea of a demigod (God's offspring from human female) all predate Christianity by thousands of years.

Okay there's this girl in my dance class who is Pagan. And our teacher found out because she overheard her say something to her friend, but the word they used was "Witch". Now I know all about Witchcraft and Paganism and stuff, but our dance teacher seemed very concerned. At first it seemed fine because she said she had done research on it, but then she told my friend that it was Satanic. My friend said that the religion she practices is FAR from Satanism and our teacher said it has its roots in Satanism.

Now I already know she's obviously been misinformed, but my friend is really worried. She has lots of respect for our teacher and really admires her a lot. This is a Middle Eastern woman in America who teaches belly dance. I would think she'd be a little more open-minded than that. So what should my friend do about this? Her main concern is going to class every week and having to look our teacher in the eye, knowing what our teacher is thinking about her.

I was knocked over by a car when i was sixteen and apart from a bruised back wasn't harmed at all. I didn't think much of it until i saw the car that hit me about a month later. It had a smashed windscreen, dented roof, dented drivers door and was also missing the wing mirror!

I've read several of the questions regarding Kate Middleton, and the ridiculous responses. Statements such as " she has kaching written all over her face" or that people can read it in her face that she is a gold digger???? Ya, ok.. Get a life!! For the record the young lady does have a job, that is where she earns her income to buy the clothes she wears. Do you people honestly believe that she would have gotten anywhere near Prince William if she did not come from a family with money? Being a commoner in England is not the same as what everyone is clearly believing it to be. Saying that Kate is a commoner just means that she does not have any immediate family that are members of the Royal family. Lady Di was a commoner but in her family tree there were members of the Royal family, perhaps people should educate themselves on British culture first before they stick their feet in their mouths. In the end it is Williams business what he does with his life.

I have to Ban Munching & Coffee & Tea etc at everyones work station... or pee-hee to a few of the Women snackers ... and carry on allowing it... The other day one of the Male staff members brought into his desk - a portion of chips & curry sauce...I could smell it all the way along the corridor...I nearly Vomited... Do you Munch at work...?
