The Bible is not a Science Book. It is a book of faith. It tells us the understanding of people's relationship with God.
If we took the Bible literally, then there would be a lot of one eye, one arm people walking around for the Bible tells us to pluck out our eye or cut off our arm if they (it) causes us to sin.
Evolution is not in the Bible, nor germs, nor automobiles, nor TVs. etc. The scientific knowledge of the authors of the Bible was very limited when the Bible was written.

Why do people believe in Creationism when the fact say differently?

The Bible is a book that is designed to tell man how to be pleasing to God. It is NOT a science book.

Creationism is not even bad science. It is not science at all. It is an attempt to shove religion into the classroom.

Because the people who set out to prove the Bible (Ceation in Genesis) true, discovered that the world was far more old, far more complex, and far more wondrous than the description written down at the end of the Babylonian exile.

Because not everyone believes the Bible to be an unfallable source of information. We put more faith in a form of study that can actually provide answers about the world around us rather than relying on myths and stories.

The reason is that the bible is just a lot of nice little fiction stories packed into a book, with lots of nice sayings added to make it snappy and easier to read. Kinda like Readers Digest.

Still, that whole "world made in 7 days" thing - pure genius!!!

Yeah, and why do people continue to get flu shots every year? Scientists say that the influenza virus evolves every year so last year's vaccine won't work anymore. But we all know evolution is false. Obviously God is changing the virus every year. And if God wants the virus to change every year, why am I going to defy him and get another flu shot.
