I've read several of the questions regarding Kate Middleton, and the ridiculous responses. Statements such as " she has kaching written all over her face" or that people can read it in her face that she is a gold digger???? Ya, ok.. Get a life!! For the record the young lady does have a job, that is where she earns her income to buy the clothes she wears. Do you people honestly believe that she would have gotten anywhere near Prince William if she did not come from a family with money? Being a commoner in England is not the same as what everyone is clearly believing it to be. Saying that Kate is a commoner just means that she does not have any immediate family that are members of the Royal family. Lady Di was a commoner but in her family tree there were members of the Royal family, perhaps people should educate themselves on British culture first before they stick their feet in their mouths. In the end it is Williams business what he does with his life.

So far everyones responses have been relatively as expected. As for the "our taxes pay for their life", a few years ago the British High Court ordered the Royals to start paying taxes. And just because he is a Royal does not preclude that his life should be public business.Another well made point was, that we should have learned from what happened to Diana, I agree 100%.This young man lost his mother thanks to the prying eyes of the world. No one should have to go through that.Look what it did to Diana, anorexia, bulimia, emotional break downs. In the days of old we would have all been beheaded for even questioning the Royals, good thing for us that times have changed.Regardless of being a public figure though,no one should have to live with secret police escorting them everywhere they go, or with stalkerazzi either.People should worry more about their own business and less about people they will never meet.

When the royal family gives up the throne, and Britain is no longer a monarchy, then it is no ones business. Until then, his life is a public one.

Very well said.
I would have thought the people of Britain, and the world for that matter, would have learned their lesson with Diana. William deserves a chance to live his life, fall in love with a woman and marry that woman if he so chooses.
The people do not have a say. Yes, the tax payers support the royal family and Prince William, but you will be supporting him whether he marries Kate Middleton or not. Hush, and let the boy live his life. The people of England are acting like an overbearing mother, and quite frankly I don't think HIS mother would have interfered this much.

Kate Middleton's father is a multi-millionaire. There is no other way that she could travel in the circles that she does. But William is everyones. He is Princess Diana's son and therefore subject to the public eye. Everyone cares who he marries and what he does. More so than his father - who is a mindless prat - and we all hope that William becomes the heir to the throne (not that it will mean much by then) but as far as keeping up appearances goes he's the boy in the limelight! I'd hate to be him or his girlfriend - but because I'm not - he becomes the focus of all those romantic notions that people have of royalty and what it entails. Poor bugger!

I agree that it's his business however because of his position and because of the nosy media and stalkarazzi, everything is out in the open.
I'm not going to sit her and say Kate's a golddigger. I'm not going to sit her and say she's his future wife. I don't exactly believe that. I do believe they are in love but I don't believe they are destined to get married. I mean didn't Prince William have like a couple of other girlfriends before Kate that he was serious about?

All I have to say is that he is quite attractive. Thank goodness he took after his mother there. I hope he has her heart as well. I do agree that they should leave him alone and let him decide what and when to be in the public eye with his life. If they had left Diana alone, she might still be with us today. Since I had 2 sons close to the sametime she had hers, I felt extra close to her, even though I am from the USA.

The Brits should only let it go when William starts paying for his life, and his castles, and his carriages, and his holidays and etcetcetc.
If she marries in to the Brit taxpayers favourite family, those Brit taxpayers have the right to ask everything about her and criticise her freely. As for your last comment, sadly he is never entitled to do what he likes with his life. He is going to be king and that's that! No choices.

esp Americans. I really don't understand why anyone cares. in the beginning i guess it was the grace kelly thing, the hope that some little American girl can marry into royalty (yeah right, without the king having to give up his throne) anyway. Now, i really don't see why they continuous talk about them in American magazines- we have far better things to gossip and worry about

william is a prissy little mommas boy like his father, but thank God dont look like him..(poor harry) so who cares what he does?hes gonna be a king, has money and some looks and will do well with his life no matter what he does because it is handed to him and he will never be poor.so why whine over him?he has it all and even if his girlfriend got ran over by a bus he will still thrive.he can have any woman he wants so replacing her wont be hard.and if he marries her he will enjoy her till she leaves him,pay her off and move on.so screw william..there are more important issues in the world besides the love life of a prissy little spoiled rich kid.....cheerio.....

Well I suppose to some extent it is our business what he does with his life since he will be our King one day, but I agree with you that he should be allowed privacy in his personal life. I know I don't want to know about it.

I think it is amazing that he looks SO MUCH like his mother. He is tall, handsome, and intelligent. God bless him.
I wonder if his brother is jealous of Williams good looks.
