This is the verse you are seeking.

Ro 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

This says, (Theophilus' Paraphrase) 'to the extent that you have influence in the matter, you should attempt to live in peace with all men'.

I don't think you will find me violating that rule.

That does not mean that we will not provide the 'truth in love' whenever we see an opportunity.

Any other witness is not effective, and will not assist the Holy Spirit in convicting the individual.

Sin is Sin, whether its homosexuality or not its all sin. All sin needs to be repented for. I don't really know why people Jump on Homosexuality as a huge sin, i believe its just as bad as any of the others. I have sinned, so I don't think I'm any better in the eyes of God then the homosexuals. To deny what they are doing to be a sin, is where they get in trouble with God. Everyone has natural desires to do sinful things, if they didn't there would be no sin. It takes work to suppress those desires. Homosexuals can inherit gods kingdom if they repent for every homosexual act. God will forgive every time. I believe god understands the difficulty of the temptation and that is why he offers forgiveness. The bible talks about how these people aren't going to inherit God's kingdom so they understand what they can do to change that. The old testament is old, and very different from the New testament. As someone mentions the "He who is without sin cast the first stone" Nobody is with out sin, nobody should be stoning anyone. As a christian, i do get upset with Christians that force their beliefs on other people. I mean, there aren't any laws against premarital sex, but it is a sin. Many Christians and non Christians have had premarital sex, why aren't they being treated the same way? Basically i answered this question because i wanted you to notice how often in the bible does it mention Homosexuality, how often does it mention other sins, obviously homosexuality wasn't Gods biggest concern, and please don't let the Christians that act like its the worst thing you can do and show hate towards homosexuals, cause you to hate Christianity, because no where in the bible does it say to practice hate.

Peace is indeed the aim, Hebrews 12:14 "Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord"

However, in no way does this mean we should avoid all conflict and roll over accepting everything someone says.

1 Peter 3:10-11 "For the Scriptures say, 'If you want a happy life and good days, keep your tongue from speaking evil, and keep your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Work hard at living in peace with others.'"

Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are those who work for peace, for they will be called children of God.”

These two passages mention working for peace, not avoidance. Working for peace is not peace at any price, which usually means, if we know a conflict exists in a particular area, then avoiding the subject altogether. Or if we are in conflict with a certain person, avoiding them altogether. This is not being a peacemaker. It’s being a coward. A peacemaker works for peace and by avoiding conflict we are saying that we are not willing to put forth the effort necessary to face into a problem, we are too afraid to face into it, or we don’t care enough for the other person to want to seek peace. Peace is never found in walking away from our fears, but in walking into them.

No it isn't Biblical when you are talking about spreading the Gospel. Christians are to preach the gospel. In doing so many will get offended but it is what a Christian is supposed to do. As far as anything else yes a Christian should avoid conflict and keep the peace.

"Turn the other cheek" might have worked when one was a slave - but these days we all have rights! Avoiding conflict or arguments just means that one gets walked over - not these days. We have rights and we use them because it is our right NOT to be abused in any way. We need to instil this into our children so that they do not fall into this mindless quicksand of never standing up for themselves. Sink or swim is not an option anymore. Someone treats you wrong - make a stand. If not - get walked on. Can you see an option?

Yes. However, what are arguments. Is defending your opinion on religious grounds wrong? To avoid full throttle arguments you must always be careful not to become angry, or insult others. Arguments are caused through indifference of opinion and although the Bible instructs to avoid arguments, there is a line between defending your opinion and attacking someone elses. Hope that helps.

1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Many would have you avoid speaking the truth in favor of peace and harmony, and the faith once delivered is being tossed aside in favor of it. True peace can only come from knowing that Jesus Christ died for our sin and repenting of it. If others are going to see him in us, then we are going to have to put him before peace with those who don't want to repent and turn from sin to him. Confrontation is a necessary thing sometimes and an argument that gives another person a logical reason for why you believe the way you do may save their soul.

There must be purity first ,then ,yes, there is peace:

James 3:17 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."

And --

Romans 12:18 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain

" If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."

This indicates that yes, peace is the goal but that it is not always possible.

"The Purpose of the one true God, exalted be His glory, in revealing Himself unto men is to lay bare those gems that lie hidden within the mine of their true and inmost selves. That the divers communions of the earth, and the manifold systems of religious belief, should never be allowed to foster the feelings of animosity among men, is, in this Day, of the essence of the Faith of God and His Religion. These principles and laws, these firmly-established and mighty systems, have proceeded from one Source, and are the rays of one Light. That they differ one from another is to be attributed to the varying requirements of the ages in which they were promulgated." -Baha'u'llah

Rom 12: 18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[d]says the Lord.
On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
