Notice how all these words are nearly the same:
la necesidad = necessity
la ambicion = ambition
la felicidad = felicity
el caracter = character
terminar = terminate
el bus = bus
profundo, a = profound

My question is: Are these words so similar because Spanish took them FROM English? Or was it that ENGLISH took them from Spanish? Who took the words from who? Which language had these words originally that other one was able to borrow them?

Some people will argue it is allready "ok" to be gay, but what i am really asking is when will people REALLY accept it, probably never seeing as how it is very commen for a straight man to feel uncomfortable around a gay man, which seems it would close any doors for society being more than "overall" accepting of the gays. you know what i mean, when will people not even look at you twice if they find out you are a homosexual?

I have memories of my mom saying this when I was growing up and always remember wondering what the "H." stood for. I hadn't heard it in years until last night when I was with a friend who was also raised by a strict Catholic family, I asked if he knew what the "H." was for and he seemed like he had never thought of it before...like it was just a given until i posed the question.

Okay, so I have been doing alot of.....looking around in myspace(call it stocking if you will but It was just for personal research) and I got jealous. For many people it is illogical to believe in a supreme being. In my opinion, many people have been driven away from God by religion. Since there is no proof, it is easy not to believe when you know that you are not like Jerry Falwell or Osama Bin Laden.

When I saw hate spouted from the pulpit of a Pentecostal church it left me running from God. Because of my belief in reincarnation, my soul would not let go. I believe that my soul remembers God.

He must understand this. He wants enlightenment and knowledge for us. If some attain that with non belief than He would not care. Isn't that a picture of a true and loving God?

Remember that most medical and scientific advances are made through the minds of non believers. Do you think that God would want a cure for Aids at the expense of one man's worship of Him? I think that He would.
